I'll be going to this also. Last year was so much fun, can't wait to do it again. I'll be at the Marriott also. It will be cool to meet up with fellow hammerheads. I can't wait!  We should all try and meet up for a drink  drinks? heck ya! I'm in !  |

 I just bought my tickets, CENTER SECTION, ROW J, seats 109-110, anyone near me? I would like to meet for dinner if there is a group one planned or just for drinks, someone let me know what or where or when, etc! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing those I already know, again....I'm sorry you can't go Star, I would have loved to have seen you again....another show perhaps?

Hey Desinsantarosa and Kes and any other Northern CA girls, is this worth spending the money on? do they let you go down to the front of the stage to dance and rock out, cause the seats are now kinda far back, should I go to this? I have to dance I can't sit in my seat so far back for the lovehammers.

Andrea, it's a great venue and it was amazing last year how close we were and how everyone just jumped up immediately when they were about to play.

I wish everyone a safe drive/flight today. Currently the weather in Walnut Creek (where I am right now) is horrible: very high wind and heavy downpour. Not sure if it will continue this badly tonight, but just in case be prepared to get wet! So far I have not heard a confirmed meet-before-the-show plan, meaning no "place" or time yet, but I think everyone going is interested. I am going to go down there later and look for a restaurant near to the theater. I am supposed to meet up with Doc, Diva, Jodie and some other fans but no one has said when or where. The weather is the delay in a decision as to time due to possible flight or driving delays and because the show is sched to start at 7:30 tonight. I believe the Lovehammers are the 3rd band to play so I'm thinking they may take the stage around 10PM or so, but that is just MY guess only so don't take that as correct, they could appear sooner! If there is no get together before the show, I hope the fans (and maybe the band?  ) can meet afterward. Let's keep our fingers crossed for decent weather and a meet-and-greet! IF any pre-show plans are confirmed I will try to post them if I can (SORRY, This is a borrowed computer, I do not have one with me at my mom's house). Oh one more thing. I asked about cameras and was told cameras are not allowed and that the ushers will ask you to leave if you take pictures....HOWEVER, last year fans were able to take pictures so, WHO KNOWS FOR SURE WHAT WILL HAPPEN--I am planning on bringing my camera tho I may "hide" it if necessary. I am hoping they will be lenient on us poor fans.... I WISH EVERYONE A SAFE JOURNEY AND A GREAT TIME TONIGHT!!! SEE YOU VERY VERY SOON!!!! |

Looking forward to seeing other Hammerheads tonight AND THE SHOW! I think the weather is supposed to be better tonight.

Oh no andrea! I saw on Weather.com that San Fran area was in the midst of a bad winter storm with high winds and rain... One fan emailed me a bit ago and said she couldn't get a flight into the San Fran airport cause all the flights in were cancelled due to the storm!
So that is a total bummer for those traveling.

Looks like I'm the first to post a review! Marty & LH went on around 8:30 I think -- earlier than I had expected. I walked in the theater and they were already playing! Fortunately I think I only missed one song. They played for about 40 minutes. Some of the songs they played were The Riddle, Trees, and a song dedicated to our troops (don't know the name). Someone else is going to have to help me out with the names of the songs they played. Anyway.....this is my first time seeing Marty and LH, so I didn't know what to expect. They were awesome!! Marty's energy, dancing, and charisma on stage is so captivating and unique. It's so hard to take your eyes off of him! He seemed almost "electric" if that makes sense. The rest of the band was great as well, and Matt Hoffer joined them. Towards the end Marty brought Tony La Russa's wife on stage (I hope I'm right on this) and danced with her.
After the show, the band was kind enough to come out and chat/take pics with the fans. That was a real treat!
I have a few pics, but they're pretty mediocre. I may try posting them later.
Anyway, that's my review....sorry it doesn't have a whole lot of detail. Maybe someone else can chime in with anything I've missed!
