I'm just listening to the interview now - wow. I loved the comments about loyalty that Marty made. That's the main word I use to describe the people I chat to at the .org, to the people in the real world I can understand what he's saying about not needing to see pictures & have that encouragement from everyone. That's a brilliant thing surely? It means that Marty can only grow from here - I for one am excited to see it coming out in his music. I didn't hear it as a criticism of the fans taking photos. I can see what he's saying, it's not a personal interaction for him.

Well I guess we are going to beat this thing to death .There has been much discussion this week both here and everywhere about Marty's comments. So I would like to take one more stab at this and then ask that we give this discussion the proper burial that it deserves. Everyone interprets discussions based on there own frame of reference and everyone has a right to their own opinion. We have become a close community here and we should respect each others opinion. Including Marty's opinion. The man simply stated that he makes memories more with talking and getting to know people rather than photos. And he thinks that the pic thing is now in a bit of overkill. And that he wants to take the fans to a different place of being friends rather than just fans. I do not speak for Marty but for those who only want their pic taken with him, I am sure he is more than happy to do that. He is a very generous man. For those that want to add another dimension to this experience he wants to share that with you. Myself, I never, ever want to hear or read a Marty Casey interview where he is not being himself and honest. There is nothing plastic about this man. Let us all hope that it stays that way. The End.....please...... Anyone read the Static Multimedia interview??? How cool is that. I am really happy for Marty that he is doing so many fun and cool projects.

Only one thing to say in reference to pictures. People who don't get to go to shows because of where they live have only the pics that are posted by people who do. I think that it's not right that they be deprived of the opportunity to see pics of the band and shows.

Majority of the comments about the interview here actually have been positive As long as things are stated politely, I know I would like to hear the bad with the good. It's better for things to be stated here, rather than have unhappy fans just disappear. Me personally ....I like the best of both worlds: The opportunity to talk after the show and a picture to commemorate the occasion! Of course a common sense on when and where goes a long way.

Marty never said he didn't want pictures to be taken of him, nor did he say they shouldn't be posted. This whole picture taking thing has gotten way out of control. People who are getting upset by it are seeing it the wrong way.

i wish i could have been able to hear the whole interview! it only played the first 5 minutes then cut off i was so mad. and i get what marty is saying about the whole picture thing. he doesnt not like taking pics he just would rather spend more time getting to know the person then taking pictures with them. and to be honset i would much rather have time to talk to him then to have a million pictures with him. i mean one or two is good but i much would rather get to talk to him for about 5 or ten minutes and make that connection that most other artist dont even give their fans the chance to do.

I totally agree with ya'll. Marty is generous and extremly patiant and will do almost nything to get a smile on a fans face. I have great memories of meet marty on several occasions and a couple pictures to go allong. Theres nothin like getting to hang out and talk music with the man that changed my life forever. The pictures just remind me of the great moment.
But for example, i went to the cleveland acoustic show and only took maybe 7 pics of the actual concert. I would much rather get into the music and stare up onstage. Its cool whipping your camera out sometimes to capture a moment, but sometimes you get consummed and miss the message or emotion to the song being played.
Eithier way i would much rather have time to get to know my Lovehammers and hammerheads than any amount of photo's! but a few are okay
