I am a die hard LA Guns fan, so I have more than just 1 fave, for the people that dont know about this band, listen to
1.Electric Gypsy
2.Ballad Of Jayne
3.Never Enough
4.Slap In The Face
5.Sex Action
better yet, they have a "best of" collection from the 20th century masters cd line. those "best of" cd's run about $9.99
I cant wait to hear Casey sing these songs, I know he will be able to pull it off. oh, there is also another band calling themselves "LA Guns" its kinda of a complicated story, but the other version has 2 members of the "popular early 90's lineup" the singer, and drummer, and I think the drummer owns the name rights to the LA Guns name. but most people say it just isnt LA Guns without Tracii on guitar. that shows you what an awesome guitar player he is, you all will see for yourselves when Casey and the boys tour. I cant wait!!!

What do LA Guns fans think of Marty being named as the new lead singer?

Well I went to youtube to see who these guys are, kinda remind me of Motley crew or something, I hope Marty brings a big influence to them, I did hear a song called Crystal eyes that I liked, and I can really hear Marty singing that one and bringing a lot more to it. I will hope for the best for this band, I think Marty can only bring improvement. LOL

Thats a good question. I frequent a message board that is geared to the 80s/90s hair metal days, and reactions are mixed. about half and half. a little more on the positive side than the negative side. I'd like to see how the fans of the other La Guns are thinking about this. I dont like going to their message board much, because most of them are anti Tracii Guns's LA Guns. they should like the idea, because Tracii's last singer (Paul Black) was pretty bad. a hell of a nice guy, but not a good singer. you should look into getting that "best of" cd. then you'll know what to expect to hear live. |

I had never heard of LA Guns either....hmmmm
I went and listened to a few tunes. Can't say I'm a huge fan.
I can say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Marty's voice and style so he can only improve on their sound.....Please Marty take them into this century with your tunes!!!
Oh and a couple of the songs I heard had that "Paul" singing.....my ears started bleeding!
I'm going to try to hit a couple of shows to see what influence Marty is having. I hope its good!!

I really liked Never Enough and Kiss my Love Goodbye, the you tube vids from the 80's rather than the newer ones. Can't wait to hear Marty singing these songs.

I totally remember Ballad of Jayne! I can't wait to hear Marty sing it. Their songs remind me of Motley Crue, which I still love and listen to. From what I've read online, the new album has a slightly different sound. Marty did write most of it, so I'm sure I'll like it. When can I buy it? lol

I'm waiting for the new album before I say what my fav song is.
I figure the sound of the band will most likely change with the addition of Marty and his songwriting/vocals.
I do like a few of thier songs but none of them jump out at me just yet.
Ballad of Jayne is pretty sweet though.
