I've been getting caught up on some of the questions and answers and I have to tell you that you've had me laughing at your silliness and smiling at your sincerity. Thank you.
I'm curious about persona....
From an observer's perspective, on stage, you have a huge presence...larger than life, if you will. You're full of energy and emit a brilliant light that seems almost from another place, a different dimension, yet at the same time, you maintain a connection with the audience.
Off stage, you're very calm, gentle and relaxed. I saw this from my first real visit with you in Toronto (while touring with INXS) to the most recent, chance meeting in the hotel lobby, while in Chicago for Hammerfest. You've always been very gracious, sincere and you truly make your fans feel like they are, as you have said many times, friends. Although your energetic side is still obvious off stage, it's a different kind of energy.
I guess my question is....Is it possible to articulate how you feel on stage or is it simply a feeling that defies description?
