Cute pic Lisa!  I need to find a better MJ pic for my av. U...told ya so.  He seems to like the 'proper gentleman attire' but there is nothing proper in the way he sings.  |

He often wore jeans and a t-shirt, which I loved. Oh, and there was this brown leather jacket. I think the ascot may have been the most Idol-ish attire he wore. |

Hi all! I didn't know if you were still here or not.
I went to a Writers' Retreat this week and we published an anthology of our work on site. It's not for sale per se, but I can get extra copies for anyone who is interested...I'll just have to give Deanna a heads up. It ended up being almost 60 pages in length between all of us. I have four pieces in the anthology along with a photo. What is cool is that we retained all rights to the works in there, so if I want to try to sell some of the work I generated this week I can. I posted a poem or two over in the Got Poetry thread. I didn't put one, "The Red Seductress", into it though. There were about 15 of us at the retreat. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again next year. I'm lucky to have somit like that held in my hometown so I don't have to travel.

I think DC maybe had a braoder appeal than MJ and really knew how to choose the songs. Although, ironically, one thing I loved about MJ was his song choices. I mean when else have you heard Simple Minds on Idol? |

I know! They're coming here and I thought about it for about a minute. Then I realized I'd probably have nosebleed seats and have to sit and watch all those other dorks, um i mean performers. Coming here too. Would like to go but the tix are like well over 200 for "decent" seats. Great seats are going for like $600..what's up with THAT? The world has gone haywire. And now Marty is in a different band - maybe it's the apocalypse |
