dude i was just having fun i never liked inxs... to light rock for me.. im into hard rock and metal I liked Michael Hutchence. period. They had a few songs I thought were ok, but I just thought the guy was sexy with a hot voice. And I had a boyfriend that looked like him. I just liked looking at him and hearing him. didn't care what the rest of the band was doing! So INXS was no biggie to me. I do not like JD- so shoot me. I find him as likeable as that other reality show dude Johnny Fairplay I think they call him. You know, the dude from Survivor who lied and said his grandma died while he was on the show. Now that I think about it, I am glad that the Seattle show is sold out because #1- I don't have to see JD and I can see LoveHammers when they tour on their own and #2- The Paramount is not all it's cracked up to be.. I am shocked they are not going to the Key Arena. I was at the Paramount 10 years ago to see Anthrax, Exodus and Helloween and the place was falling apart then. . I was at that show too, Anthrax/Exodus and it was 15 years ago almost 16. The paramount has been remodled like three times since then!! Its a beautiful and vintage staple in the seattle history. Do I sense some sort of rival and bitterness here because 1. Marty lost on RS INXS 2. SOMEONE DIDNT GET TICKETS? I am not trying to be mean, but I think that they should throw out people who plan on leaving after the LH are done playing. Like have them take a questionairre and when they are asked "Will you stay for a few INXS songs" and if the answer is No, then throw them in the alley. LOL Marty would be nothing without RS INXS/INXS.

I was not much of an INXS fan, did buy their Greatest Hits back in the 90's though because I really dig the 80's music I grew up with. Watched Rockstar:INXS mostly because the show looked really interesting (better than American Idol!) How was a girl to know that a guy named Marty Casey would steal our hearts away!! I always did like JD for the band more than any of the others, and I'm so relieved that they picked him and not Marty! And so shoot me!! I LOVE Pretty Vegas, and look forward to the new INXS album and the tour. Don't care for pop music too much, but I can definately get into classic rock. INXS are definately classics. Don't know yet if I will stay for INXS both nights, but definately one of the nights.

Up In the trees
I have often thought that it was a very smart business move to have Marty and the lovehammers open for them. I wonder how sold out the concerts would have been if Marty had not been the opener for them? Anyway, I will be going to cheer my hero on and to stay for INXS. I like them too, not my favs ,but I do like them. And J.D. while he was sort of a contender during the show and I said that I could not stand him, It was only my competiteve attidtute at the time. He is very good and I think he goes "roit" with the band. Marty would have called all the attention to him as he is soooo fantastic and perhaps InXS would have been a little intimidated. And J.D. fits right into the scheme of things. I wish them all the best.

I find it incredibly crass and funny that there are hundreds of MC/LH fans that diss, slam and ridicule JD/INXS, when its quite obvious that INXS helped MC/LH be a household name/gain popularity and also were "kind" enough to offer MC/LH the opening slot of their upcoming tour. And this is the thanks/support they get. Just an observation. I hear people saying they will leave after the LH are done playing. Just remember, if it was not for the members of INXS, 3/4 of you would not be seeing Marty and the LH in concert. Thats all. Agreed! I wholeheartedly thank INXS and the Rockstar show for introducing us to Marty and the Lovehammers! What this has done for the Lovehammers career is astonishing. I will show my support and will be stayng for the whole show. But since I'm going two nights, it is just possible that one of the nights I will leave early. Depends on if one show of INXS is enough. Look forward to their new album. And of COURSE new music from the Lovehammers!

Oh, and I'd like to add that yes, Marty and the Lovehammers are definately helping out INXS as well! I think they knew this when they hired them for the opening act! So INXS should be grateful and thankful to Marty as well for helping sell out these venues!!

I love this band and have seen them live twice and was depressed for MONTHS after Hutchence killed himself. And I agree that Both Inxs and Marty/LH deserve huge pats on the back for their professionalism and energy that they shall all put forth on the upcoming North American Tour.

LOL ok, that is why I love this place. No one being snotty. That rules. I want to personally thank the several private messages from members who begged me not to leave this place. I never said I was leaving though.

Wasnt gonna say nuthin' ...cause I am just not a "conflict" kinda person. .......But..... I am not intending to stay to watch INXS either. As much as I respect and agree with some of the reasons others have put forth to support INXS, I personally dont know if I can stomach J.D. for that long. Now, I know that maybe much of my opinion of J.D. comes from editing, but I personally find him to be a rather shady character. I did not like many of the things he did/said during the competition, and I dont wish to support someone that I find rather obnoxious. I must say though, that I am very glad that Marty didnt win, but I dont like to see people that I perceive as manipulative, mean spirited and insincere get ahead by doing things that people like that do. It is my humble opinion that he is not a gifted performer either. Yes, I know that I have paid for my tickets, and most of it will go to INXS, but I would have paid what I did and more just to have the opportunity to see the Lovehammers. I loved INXS w/Michael. Was a big fan, and was also crushed when I heard of his death. But I dont care for "Pretty Vegas" nor the other song that they performed that was a new offering. So, I am truly not that interested in sitting through their performance, and would rather spend my time in the casino, or getting a good meal and spending a little quality time with my best girlfriend away from our collective families for the weekend, and enjoying a "girl get-away" with her and spend it catching up on old times. I would also like to meet up with as many M.C. dot org'ers that might be attending as well. So pardon me if you feel that I am not being supportive, or respectful to the remaining members of the original INXS, but I would prefer not to watch someone I am repulsed by gyrate, grind and crotch grab while belting out songs I used to love using an "Elvis accent". (Bye the way, I never liked Elvis either)... *ducks as to avoid being hit*

I would agree with your hubby on Live CDs but I love Queensryche!! They were AWESOME at the Katrina relieft benefit at the Showbox!! I was right up front. I hate live and also creed. But I loved Marty's renditions of their songs!!

Yes, daddy was a looker and a ladies' man but age was kinder to him even though he is an alcoholic. He still is a handsome devil at 61. He loved Elvis but was more of a Johnny Cash kind of man.
