While I was wandering about the internet today (you never know where a Google search will lead you), I found these great Tutorials for drawing Anime characters. The tutorials: FacesHairClothes, Part 1Clothes, part 2Click on the "Download to Desktop" link. It should open the images in your browser. Do we have any adventurous ones out there who would like to make an Anime Lh pic? I'm going to buy a new sketchbook and give it a try. It looks like fun. If you like the tutorial, stop by Crysa's DeviantArt page and leave a comment. If you make an anime Lh pic, please post it! Come on! You can do it!

I think it's a wonderful idea Ceeje and I can't wait to see someone give it a try.

I could do it, but I would do it in my own style. Primarily because I don't have a good CG program, so it would be good old Copic ink.

I might try it! Hell, I already have skribbished (read: color washed CG sketch) out Mr. Marty - doesn't look like him at all >F - and my hateful roomie threatened to send them in anyway (I'll strangle her first). If she's gonna do that (and she would/has - I never know), might as well toss 'em up, eh? The unfortunate thing about an anime-styled piece is that the features are hard to translate unless you use one of the french-touched styles, or you just go everywhere with it. (I just skrib, I'm not even gonna say these are good. They're not.) Anyway...enough babble while I'm at work and shouldn't be online. X - First attempt. wide mouths do not translate well into anime! X - AHAHA, I tricked you! Super Deformed and holding a mic in one hand. And, off I go.

That error is caused by a direct link to Deviant Art's images, I believe. I recieved the same one when I tried clicking, but if you go through Crysa's DA, you can view the tutorials easily (if you're brave enough to fight with the lagging servers etc.)
..and hochrist the smilies here scare me like nothing else - but thank you. Am glad you liked 'em.

Ah damn, I'm sorry - I'm not very clearheaded early in the day (especially not when sneaking online at work >F bad employee) - linked in the original post is Crysa's DA page (Deviant Art) where the tutorial's originated.
Sorry 'bout that.

Crysa is the artist who made the tutorials. Her DeviantArt (DA) page is linked in my post. Ok, I just fixed the links. Go to each link, and select "Download to Desktop". That should open the images in your browser. I *still* haven't had time to do this yet. But, I have at least bought a new sketch book. That's the first step, right? lol khiarhu, I love your drawings! How cool! I love the chibi Marty. :~D

New sketchbook is definitely the right direction! I don't even have that excuse, I've just been lazy and haven't sketched anything at all recently (commissions are great, but they burn you out for your own stuff after a while)
SD is one of my favorite things....so of course I had to sketch him as a chibi! X3~

I haven't even attempted to draw anything because I just get so frustrated with this machine It is like I'm on dial up and I have little patience waiting to be back on my own computer I am really looking forward to giving a try though. I'm still waiting to put up my video. And this would be just for a laugh. ;D

I did actually sketch something the other day, my son. My husband saw it and said, "Who did that?" I told him I did. He glanced at me like he didn't believe me at first, then said, "Well, why don't you teach the kids!" It wasn't an anime sketch, but a real life sketch. I actually did two. The first one didn't look like him at all. lol The second one was much closer.

Those are really cute Ayesa - especially Marty upside-down (he does that a LOT, I'm noticing).
Ceeje - realism is generally much, much harder than an anime/manga style (in my experience), so many props to you for doing it!
