Make a Pop-up Lovehammers Christmas Card In 10 Easy Steps!I’m not very crafty (except for quilting), but I love figuring out how things work and writing instructions. I have always liked the pop-up greeting cards, so I made a Lovehammers concert version. Materials:2 sheets of stiff 8.5” x 11” paper (photo paper works well) Glue stick Scissors Pictures of Marty, Bobby, Dino and Billy performing Instructions:Step 1: Save the following picture. Print the picture out, making it a full page size (8.5” x 11”). The edges may not print out, but that is okay. This side will be the back of the card lining and will not be seen. Note: The dashed lines are fold lines and the solid lines are cut lines. When ever I say “fold”, this means to fold the paper on one side along the dashed line, and then fold it in the other direction. This is necessary because the paper needs to fold both ways at different times in the construction.Step 2: Fold the paper in half along dashed line A. Open paper out flat again. Step 3: Fold the paper along dashed line B. Cut along the solid lines of the mic stand flap. Fold the mic stand flap along dashed line C. Open paper out flat again. Step 4: Fold the paper along dashed line D. Cut along the solid lines for the amps. Fold the amp flaps along dashed lines E. Step 5: Cut along the solid lines for the drum set. Fold the drum set flaps along dashed line F. Open paper out flat again. Step 6: Now you need to refold the paper as it will appear when the card is open. Turn the paper over so that the printing is on the back. Push lines B and D backward, and push line A forward. This forms the platform for Bobby’s drums. Push the mic stand, amp flaps, and drum set flaps forward. You should now have something that looks like this: Step 7: Print out pictures of the Lovehammers in your favorite performance pose, and cut out around each figure. Use a glue stick to attach each picture to the base of the designated area. You can also add pictures of amps or other stage equipment (or maybe even Randy!) to the amp flaps. Print out and glue a greeting for the top and bottom of the card. Tips: If the picture you want to use has the shoes cut off, just paste an amp at the bottom. Those are always up front anyways. Also, the pictures can’t be too big or they will stick out of the card when folded.Step 8: Now you need to turn the page over to the back side. Carefully apply glue to the top and bottom sections, making sure that you do not put any glue on the areas that need to fold out. Step 9: Fold a blank sheet of paper in half and reopen. Attach the two pieces of paper (aligning at the edges). Fold the card in half and open again to make sure that everything pops up correctly. You should only open the card half way to get the 3-d effect. Step 10: Decorate the front of the card, and you are done! Here is the picture I used for the background. I printed it on the reverse side of the folding/cutting guide. However, you might want to practice folding with only the folding/cutting guide first to save ink. i54.photobucket.com/albums/g83/shymartyfan/stills/cardpage.jpg

I don't have a lot of time to do crafts during the holiday rush. So I decided to share a quick idea that works great for those with little time. It is simple and easy. Try it. Needed Materials(2) Blank CD's Aleene's Original Tacky Glue Clear Tape Copies of favorite Lovehammer pictures String OptionalAdditional decorations (flowers, beads, lace, ect...) Double sided tape- if you don't want to roll it sticky side out. Instructions1. Tape string to back side of one CD. This is the written on side ,not the shiny side. 2. Tape the two CD's together using tape rolled stocky side out. It's the same as a cheap double sided tape effect or you can use real double sided tape. 3. Cut out you favorite copies of Lovehammer pictures. 4. Using a small amount of glue behind each picture, glue them to the shiny side of the CD. Be creative! Note: You may want to plan out they lay out before gluing them. 5. Do the same to the second side of the CD. 6. If you have any extra over hang from the photos on the edges of the CD just trim them clean with scissors. 7. Optional: You may add extra decorations to the CD at this point. 8. Enjoy!! Hang it from your Christmas tree or use it to decorate a present.

I love the idea of using CDs! I get a lot of CDs and DVDs in junk mail that I usually just throw away (or use as coasters). What a great way of recycling them into a music themed ornament.

Good job, OC. I think that will come in handy later! Here is an origami ornament. I love the look of origami, but I am an inaccurate folder and can never finish the instructions. However, I found this one and made it all the way through: Instructions
I glued two sheets of metallic origami paper together for the two-toned effect. (I think I have used up my craftiness quota for the year.)

Well, here is my attempt. It's the best I could do with limited time. I was inspired by Shy's Snow Globe avie so I went with that theme. I acutally used the Merry Christmas(All Year Long) picture and folded it into a triangle for this ornament. Bobby and Dino are on the other sides of the ornament - I just couldn't get a good pic of them. This is a pretty simple project 1. Purchase empty glass/plastic ornament and glitter at your favorite craft store 2. Pour a teaspoon or two of glitter into the ornament. Roll the ornament around to coat the inside of it 3. Cut out your favorite picture(s) 4. Glue them together with a string in the middle 5. Roll up the picture and squeeze it into the ornament (you can use a pair of tweezers to open up the picture) 6. Glue the string to the top of ornament 7. Hang and enjoy! PS - This is a great craft to do with your kids school pictures. The grandparents love them!

That's a great idea, 4! I have been making photoshopped ornaments, but I couldn't figure out how to make real ones.
