I don't know how finished the song is in terms of lyrics, but i was listening to the song, and all I keeped thinking is that in my mind all the lyrics point to one obvious thought, and I was thinking if some how it should be acknowledged in the song.........
the song to me paints a picture and that picture is of Marty standing on stage doing his usual performance and I'm not sure how to express it correctly but, he is known as the mad conductor which to me is true it is like he is conducting the audience (us) in our performance for him and that is why we sing with him and raise our hands, we are part of the show as he has said in one show I went to (stone pony) there is no line between him and us we are one!
It is like when you are at a show you are also part of the show!
This is just a thought...............

I have not posted on here in a while but this thread is interesting to me. I think it is great that you all want to give something back to Marty in a way that he can really appreciate.

If I can offer my advice on this song (let me know if I can't LOL)

I think it needs to have the kiss theory applied.

In other words, Keep it simple.

Say what you want to say and do it in a well structured, flowing way.

I think a couple verses then a chorus followed by a couple versus and a repeat of the chorus will do.

It does not need to be a long song but does need to say what you want it too and I think that can be done in a 3 to 4 minute song.

For those of you that don't know me. I am Stiletto's brother.

I would love to contribute to this if I can. I play guitar and have a couple of guys that can help me with bass, lead and drums.

I also have a set of lyrics that I think are good for what you can use.

HH has been doing a great job putting music to this song and I would like to see if we can collaborate a bit on this, so if he can pm me I will share with him what I have tried to do with the song.

What I did was electric but I think distortion is in order for it.

Let me know what you think or if you want to hear what I have. I am not a great singer but you will get the idea lol

Thanks to both of you for your input. All great suggestions. At this point we are in the final stages of "production" and do not have time to make any changes.

But I have rewritten the song twice.........and Zman has done a rough recording of it and we will be doing more to it eventually.

Then having a card develop overnight Now there are 3 musicians working/talking about the lyrics/sounds/media WOW!!!

I won't be disappointed if the mention of Trees is taken out... ;D I was kidding about that lyric

News - basic 4-track is complete. Mixdown is next and possibly one last try in software to edit out a glitch before going to MP3.
