There isn't a link. I sent my email address to Bostongirl and she sent to me in an email. If you want to pm me your email address I could forward it to you or you could pm your email address to her and she could send it to you.

HH is our guy..........I've not much time for extra curricular activities so let's let him run with it.

I've left it with my brother but for personal reasons he may not be able to hellp us out.

I've listended to the initial HH take and it sounds pretty good.

I was sort of looking for changes in speed between the verses and the chorus and a little more inflection on some of the words...........not being critical.......just what I had in my mind is all.

The song itself is good but there's something I can't quite put my finger on............perhaps the flow overall.........I think it needs something to tie it all together.........also.......we seem to jump from him to you to him alot.........not sure about that........

HH...the guitar work is really good bro......I'm totally diggin it.

How's this (Just a suggestion - all changesd in caps and I've swapped a couple of the last verses)..........

definitely like your addition Stil -- makes it that much more similar to my "Hey Mr Music Maker" that I used in my song - and makes it clear that the song is TO him, not just about him

Stil, I agree with your suggestions, the lyric changes are really good. THanks for working on this. Thanks to everyone. I know HH is working on laying vocals and instrumentals over what he had. Not sure if he has been on the boards to see the suggestions.

If anyone has any Christmas graphics that I can use on the Christmas card and can coach me on how to do this, I would appreciate it. I really want to learn how to be board "literate". Thanks.

This is going to be an online card. What I am thinking is that we will have the Christmas card from all the fans, then the lyrics and then the song. Some folks had ideas for the words on the card, just thought I would add a Christmas tree or some type of Christmas picture/graphic.

Please send your ideas.

After about 5 days of work on this and *my bad* for not enough time back here, a number of things have cropped up.

1) I sent out an MP3 which was a "rush take 1" and really didn't listen to it all that closely - that MP3 was a format conversion from the internal format used by the software. Later, when I was working on ways to bring in early tracks for overdubs I blasted the MP3 over to a CD to play through the mixer. What I heard almost made me puke, as the sound quality was SOOO bad. I went back to the MP3 on the hard drive and it sounded lke crap too. I went back one step farther to the internal file format track and it was great. Evidently, conversion between these two file formats ain't so hot and leaves a lot of "digital noises and blunders" which are NOT part of what I played. Very sorry about that to anyone who heard the MP3.

2) I think I should clarify another potential misunderstanding - I do NOT have a serious recording studio in my home. The software I run is fine but the computer is a "jack-of-all-trades" in our house and serves as gateway, network server, optical scanner reader, printer driver, you-name-it. That means no fancy sound card because all expansion slots are full....and THAT means I can only input ONE track of audio before I have to start doing overdubs. So what was on the MP3 was me playing the guitar AND singing a "guide vocal" in one shot as that is the only way I can get it done. (oh, and also watching the level meters, and maybe glance at the music now and then. ;D ) I was working on laying down a tasty crunchy electric distortion part on top of that and it all hinged upon fitting the musical arrangement I had with the set of lyrics that I had.

Fast forward a bit.........

3) I repsect all of the love and thought and time that several people are putting in to trying to get the best lyrics they possibly can for the song. That being said.............STOP. PLEASE. It's time to decide on A FINAL SET OF LYRICS THAT WILL NOT GET CHANGED AGAIN UNLESS IT SIMPLY WILL NOT WORK IN MUSIC.

Sorry if this seems "in your face", it really isn't supposed be but I have time constraints just like everybody else and don't have time to go back and start the whole process all over again to make more changes. SOOOOOO let's decide what the song lyrics are and no more new ones, OK? I NEED TO KNOW WHEN YOU NEED THE FINAL PRODUCT so I can tell you whether or not it is still even possible to make changes to what I already have at this point.

I'm starting a new job on Monday - and Sunday, when I was going to be doing more work on the song is now going to become more of a day of rest before said new job. Everybody figure out what they want and I will check back in, sometime.

I still want to see this happen as much as anyone else, and I want it to be GOOD. Time is going to become a problem...........
