Well, when all else fails read the instructions . I went to the forum support and behold, excellent instructions on how to post a picture to a thread. So now we have the lights, sound (close), the script..... I think we are in business. I found a couple of pictures that I like for the front of our electronic Chrismtas card. One is a blinking Christmas tree which I was all set to use until I found this. I think this is perfect for our project. Represents us and what this is all about. What do others think tree or carolers ?? Looking for your thoughts on this. Boston

The carolers are perfect - but RF's right, there's nothing keeping us from doing both!!
And your words that you posted work great, too --

Brief update: Today was a non-recording day due to the new job and a personal committment this evening. BUT - I had mentioned before about having a "presentation copy" of the lyrics and music to give and so I was able to crank up a Word doc (heck the lyrics were already there as were the guitar chords so all I had to do was pretty it up a bit) for that purpose. It isn't "sheet music" per se, no staff lines with notes........I'm not up to that. But I put the Title and lyrics into a nice script font called Edwardian something-or-other and plan to print it on a good quality parchment-style paper........and IFFFF I can find an 8.5 x 11 RED envelope, use that to put it in. IFFF I can get some nice sentiment on the outside of the envelope I will. NOW, I have left a space for "Lyrics by: " as well as my own "by" line. I know that some of you had mixed feelings about this, but I think it is appropriate for those were involved in the lyric writing and who WANT to to be credited for their work. I plan on using both my real name and an "AKA <boardname>" .......... and of course, anyone who wants any listing for lyrics can specify what they want. Once everyone figures that out, we'll compile a list and I will insert it. BTW, even though I did need to rearrange the words a little bit I do NOT plan on putting my name in the lyric "by lne". That's for the rest of you !!!!! However, please decide and compile promptly so this item can be included (I hope) with other materials. Thanks and good night......

HH- your presentation copy sounds great . As for the lyric's credit, maybe for simplicity sake, could the names of those who contributed lyrics be listed versus a breakdown of who did what (as in line by line)?? I'll let the contributers decide .

I'm fine with something like the following: Contributions Concept: (you know who you are : )) Lyrics: (names) Music: (names) Love and support sent by the entire dot org!!!! Merry Merry Christmas! afterthought here.... I'd use only screennames because some people (like myself) don't want their real names on a forum for privacy sake.

I don't know if BG was planning on putting credits on the board. It doesn't really matter to me. IF we list credits on here I am ok with using my screen name and my first name.
HH on the other hand is working on a hard copy, my suggestion is if you want your name or whatever on the hard copy pm it directly to him. Maybe he could give us some kind of time line to have them in to him.
Anyway that would be my suggestion. But I am good with whatever everyone else wants to do.
Sharon
and thanks for the words for the card GP, good job!

I thought we had decided not to do that. This was created by input from all. It is a present. I would like it to be from the Fans at mc.org. Alot of people contributed ideas as well as actual lyrics. I do not think it is the right thing to do, to call out actual names.
So unless someone has strong objections to this, I would like this to be our final decision.

Stil, You are a scholar and a gentleman I really hope that I can meet everyone "live" at a concert in 2007. I love the virtual world, but there is nothing like a real smile and hug. OK - so we are staying with the original plan. We will sign the lyrics from The mc.org Fans. Back to work Boston
