Hi everyone, Received and email from Rachelle who kindly wrote the piece on Marty, she is one cool lady. Here is what she said. Hi Helen, Not really an article, more a brief mention, but the good news is that my page has a readership of 1.5 million on the weekend, so a lot of people should see it. Here it is: LISTENING He might have been the runner-up in Rock Star: INXS, but Marty Casey is number one with his fans, who've been reminding us that his new CD – with his band The Lovehammers - hits stores next week. Enjoy! Cheers, Rachelle Helen

Hi, I posted this on our Aussie thread, but thought I'd post it here too. Could use some help getting a good word for the new CD posted on Amazon. Hi All my CD exchange pals and ASTers, The new CD is in great need of some great reviews on Amazon. It only has 3 stars because there are only 2 reviews and one was a 1 Star Canadian review. So, if you have heard the new CD on VH1 or really like it when you receive your CD, please write a good review. It says it takes 5-7 business days to post, so mine hasn't shown up yet. It would be great for there to be some Aussie/Kiwi/Philippine/Canadian/Singapore and Hong Kong reviews supporting the new Cd This is on the Hammerhead thread: Den

Hi ASTers, I have sent the following email to some radio stations in NZ. Have plans to contact TV also when I know more about the release date of the album here. Will email Epic to see if they can tell me when this will be, which will make promo here a whole lot easier! (I also included the pic of the album cover in the email). "...Hoping you can give a mention and help promote rock band MARTY CASEY & LOVEHAMMERS. You may remember Marty Casey as runner-up to JD Fortune in the television programme ROCKSTAR:INXS. Marty Casey and Lovehammers, who are currently touring North America with INXS, were signed late last year to major label EPIC. Their single 'Trees' was released a little over a week ago in the US, and their debut self-titled album is due for release in the US tomorrow. I have included the following links, which will update you on just about everything Lovehammers, including a chance to listen to their album. www.martycasey.org/ www.lovehammers.com/ www.vh1.com/artists/az/lovehammer/1198002/album.jhtml I am aware neither the single nor the album has been released in New Zealand, but wanted to let you know about the progress of this awesome band. I will be contacting Epic to see if a NZ release date has been decided. The band have stated unofficially that they will be touring outside the US this year, INCLUDING AUSTRALIA, however dates have yet to be finalised. Please check out the band and their music and give them a plug! They have a huge and growing fanbase, kiwis included. Regards Vee kiwi Hammerhead"

Thanks kiwigirl, good for you too. It's hard to promote without any releases or anything, but no harm warming them up! I also sent the email to someone at Radioworks, thought that might cover some stations I'd missed out. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of a response I get from Epic regarding the release of Trees and the album here in NZ.

Hi ASTers, Just thought I'd repost this message from Marty he wrote at the end of 2005 at LH.com. It is only January and we have so much to do. Great job so far I think. Luv you all Den Message from Marty: What's up!!!!
I have just arrived back from a much needed week-long break from the madness. I went to Tulum, Mexico for adventure in the Caribbean. It took me about 3 days to just chill out and let all the stress of the past 6 months drift away. I felt like I was going to explode before I left. Now I feel ready for 2006. I just got off the phone with our Manager, Doc, and he said that we will not have any time off in the upcoming year. I was happy to hear that. We will be touring relentlessly so we can meet all our new friends from all across the globe. USA, Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia and even possibly India. We have alot of work to do. I want to come to every town and let you know how much your support means to us. In person is always best and we are gonna hit as many towns as possible.
We just started our pre-sale of the new cd and I hope you can get a chance to order one. The first week of sales are extremely important because it shows the record label that people are excited about the band. We want to come out strong out of the box and give EPIC an understanding of how hard we are going to hit it this year. I am so happy to hit the road with my great friends and play every night. It is one of the things we do best.
I want everyone to make 2006 the greatest year of their lives. It is monumentally important to head into the year with a game plan. Resolutions of renewed focus on our lives. If we are happy then we will be able to push others around us into a positive light. We can build space for the things that we want to happen in 2006 and that way, when they come our way, we have room for them and nothing passes us by. What we manifest in our heads we can make happen. No more waiting for something to happen, now it's time to work for what we want. It comes easier than you think. I want all of us to succeed this year. Let's make it happen.
2005 has been an epic year of new friendships and new opportunities. 2006 is the year we define these friendships and make them last for life. Our bond is so pure and its foundation is music. I can't wait for 2006! All the best to you and yours,
Marty Casey

I've posted this on the Aussie thread and also in the Band Promo Ideas thread but thought I should put it here as well. After scrounging around for the right material, I finally managed to make some drink coasters with the LH pics. Am planning to send these as part of a home-made press kit to Singapore media. I used cork sheets, permanent adhesive A4 sized labels and adhesive film. The pics show the front and back of the coasters. It's fairly easy to do if you have a printer (colour laser printer if possible) - perhaps a few of you could do the same for the Aussie media?

Hi ASTers, Now that I'm back from Chicago I've started back doing a little more of my AST work. I've done my weekly bugging of Molly. I've also had to bug Sony after reading Helen's post. Hey guys, Guess what, I went into my local Sanity Music shop today and this is how the conversation went. Helen. To the shop assistant "when are you going to get The Lovehammers new CD in stock?" Full well knowing she was gonna say who? or what label are they on or something to that affect. Shop assistant. Replies to me ' You are the 4th person to ask me that today'. I couldn't control myself, I just went WOW ... out quite loud actually that is great! She says, "What do you mean by that?" I reply that means people are getting to know who the Lovehammers are, the word is spreading. She says she has had several other requests on other days also. She says she rings Epic/Sony each request and gets one of 2 replies, put on hold for ever and eventually hangs up or told that they have no Australian release date yet. I ask her what is the best way to get Epic/Sony to release the CD in Oz and she says keep requesting the same CD over and over by email or ringing and asking about the same CD over and over, that is the best way to get the message across that we want it out here. The Oz branch then conveys to the USA headquarters about how many requests they are for getting for the CD and acts on it. So guys, we HAVE to keep emailing SONY requesting for the OZ release whether we get replies or not. I now want to know who those other 4 people are in Cranbourne that are Hammerheads, I am gonna have to put flyers in my car window or something, I am dying to know who else in my area loves Marty and our boys! Maybe I will put an ad in the local newspaper!! Going a bit far do ya think I am just rapt that the word is spreading and the Marty love is getting around to more than just the people on the forums. Cheers, Hel. Make sure you all check out Mia's radio appearance promoting the band in the Philippines. I posted the links on the Philippine Street team thread. How awesome is that!!!!!! Helen, Let me know if anything has changed about contacting Molly. Den

Hi ladies...I am re-posting a message I just left on the btof boards in regards to the scrapbook we have planned for and by the AST to present to LH... The aim of the diary is to let LH know of all your heartfelt and awesome hard work in spreading the love throughout Aus/NZ/Asia, through short and humorous entries of contacts made, replies received and press clippings. The plan is to log the efforts of the AST via diary entries in the scrapbook...against the background of ingt's awesome artwork. This thread can be used to log your efforts past and present: Date Action Contact Result Clip...if applicable media contacts and campaigns...promotional art distributed...general love spreading...can and should be included here I have summarised the valiant efforts of all you ladies at mc.org...although if you wish to recap here that would be great...and much appreciated PLEASE...if you have any press clippings post them here as well..or if you have links to any...post them here keep spreading the love ladies...the boys will love reading about it... here is a link to the thread if you don't already know it...*yeah..as if i say* bandsthrivingonfans.net/lovehammers/viewtopic.php?t=871Great job girls...brilliant! okay, my daughter wants me to be sure everyone knows she is helping out. She is giving CDs to the coolest/most influential kids at her school. (One said, "Marty Casey, ohmygod, he's so hot!") Ah, the worldwide eloquence of 13 year old girls! We're doing what we can. I have ordered quite a few more (thru the mc.org amazon link) to give to djs, fasionistas in HK. It's still too early to do press promotions, which is actually where I can help most. But I need the CD in stores here!!
