The video will take awhile, I presume, considering what just happened to the band lately. I have already requested to receive a beta cam pal format copy of their VH1.com performances. I don't know if they have any other video to give. I just requested to give me anything they have. Hope I get something soon.

Ok, I just wanna share a bit of ST work I did last night at my Masters class of all places! We were supposed to bring and analyse a piece of text but no one in my group remembered to bring the text. I happened to have a copy of MCLH in my bag so I took it out and suggested we study the lyrics to Casualty. The rest of the group were very interested in the album and kept asking me about Marty and Rockstar INXS. Mind you, these are all "mature" students like me and they probably listen to jazz. But they were asking to listen to the song. So I'm gonna play it for them next week. Woo hoo!!!

TREES is officially on 105.9 MIX FM's (Davao City, Philippines) playlist! I just had a great talk with the station manager, Sonny. He's a huge supporter of Marty Casey and Lovehammers. He has been waiting to receive a subscription to the song Trees but he got the entire CD from me instead. This is amazing! To vote for TREES on 105.9 MIX FM's playlist. International Voters: Web: www.imix.fmSince they don't have a voting page. I think the only way international voters can is ad them on your yahoo messenger contact list and you can request for TREES. Cool Mia, That is fantastic! Here in HK, the CD is now everywhere. There are at least 2 copies on the shelf at every record store I have been to. I am really hoping that it's selling and have been putting it front and centre at every store I go by. (Apologies to Marvin Gaye and Maroon 5, who always get shoved to the back if MCLH is there!) Even better, my daughter tells me that in her art class yesterday the teacher told them they cold play whatever music they wanted to so she hooked up her iPod and played Clouds. All the kids asked her who it was --they loved it. Next time, Casualty!

That's great CHK.
Some not so good news here though...
There is no other copy of Dino's NU107 Manila interview. This was a long one too. We got disconnected the first take and I had to arrange another. In the end, the station deleted the original copy of Dino's interview because they said they don't keep big files, they gave me a cd copy; and then only for me to discover that the cd is corrupted and I can't retrieve the recording. I tried to get my cousin, who's a computer whiz, to salvage the recording but to no avail. Poor Dino's interview is gone. I know there were some of you out there who were waiting for this. I really worked hard to make the arrangements and it's such a shame that the CD got corrupted and the station doesn't keep back-up files.

Hi, I hope all the Filipinos here were not hit badly by Storm Milenio.
I just sent to the admin the Pulp Magazine (Philippines) Article. Check it out. It should be posted soon.
The 3 magazines that published MCLH, Fudge, Burn, and Pulp did a great job in giving the band exposure. They are on the playlist of 5 major radio stations in the country. I have talked to MTV Philippines in letting MCLH send videos to them. Hopefully they follow through in showing the videos.
I only hope that one day they will visit the Philippines. Street teaming them was one of my highlights of the year. But now I'm taking a break because there's only so much one person can do.
Just keep on requesting their songs. I've posted before how you can do so.
Thanks for all your help in voting. Thanks to those who have helped me Street Team MCLH by sending so many CDs. You know who you are.
Take care everybody!

I must admit I have been so down about not going to Hammerjam in Chicago. So, maybe I should organize a Hammerjam for the Asia Pacific/Australian Fans in the Philippines.
Would people in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australian fans be interested in this?
It's cheap to come to the Philippines. Booking hotel rooms isn't expensive if you earn in dollars whether it's Australian, US, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Any thoughts? I will research on how much it would cost to bring the Lovehammers to the Philippines because there are certain fees and rules before bringing a foreign artist here.
I know of good venues. I have connections with travel agencies so I can really help people with travel arrangements.
If we can all help pay for the foreign artist fee here, and booking the venue, and housing for the Lovehammers...then this could happen.
The main reason I think that Hammerjam Asia should be in the Philippines because the Lovehammers did really well here. I've got the connections with radio stations, music magazines, and MTV Philippines and they will be very instrumental in marketing the band if they come.
Please let me know what you think? I have to get on the information gathering right away.

Calling all Asia Pacific/Aussie/New Zealander Fans/hey why not Canada/US too. On the LH Board, slowly people are expressing interest. Please provide me with your name, location, and email address if you truly want Hammerjam Asia to happen in the Philippines. Just send me a PM please. I'd like to do a head count at this stage. I will approach hotels that we'd like to hold a music convention and they will most likely set-up a special group rate if I can show them proof of people wanting to stay in their hotel. If there's a convention happening, it would be easier for me to find sponsors that will pay for LH to come to the Philippines. I just have to put together an awesome marketing pitch. If you can suggest anything to help me make this happen, please inform me ASAP. I need all the help I can get. Thank you!

Amazing, amazing news! I've succesfully gotten MCLH a TV time slot to show MCLH videos. I am the head of my own marketing department which focuses on creating tv/radio "texting" promos. So, I'm gonna use the MCLH promo stuff the band and other fans have sent and will give them as prizes on RJ TV. This is so great for MCLH because this is gonna be their first telecast in Asia! Woohoo! www.rjplanet.com/rjtv/index.html

Hi everybody!
I work for a tv/radio broadcasting company in the Philippines. I'm a marketing/events person. One of my major responsibilities is to create promotions for both tv/radio.
I am offering ALL MUSCIANS who play POP ROCK, CLASSIC ROCK 'N ROLL, MODERN ROCK, LATIN POP, JAZZ POP, BOSSA NOVA, & COUNTRY POP to submit an original CD to me and I will review it. If I feel that your kind of music is something we will play on the radio then the next step would be for me to take it up with the station manager. If he approves, then we can communicate how you can send promotional items like more CDs, T-shirts, magnets, pens, stickers, buttons and etc. to market yourself in the Philippine music scene.
Send me a PM or Email. I will provide you with more details on how to send your CD to me.
SPREAD THE WORD!!!!
Cheers!!!

Yes, a "real" video would be nice. I'm just lucky that my position at work allows me to think of all sorts of crazy things. I mean, I'm only on my 4th day and I've managed to get MCLH on our TV slots the 2nd day of work. Right on!
RJTV will be giving away MCLH prizes through our TV game shows. RJTV will also be the first Asian station to feature Marty Casey and Lovehammers. This is only one channel here but better than anything. Not even the US or Canada has done something like this. Go, Go, Go, Ale, Ale, Ale!
My next goal is to hold an international rock fest in Manila and bring MCLH. Ya! (But I first have to concentrate on my job and make good there)
Let you all know when MCLH will be televised on RJTV Philippines.

As some people might know, I got a job to work for RJTV/Radio, Philippines. In the 2 weeks I was there, I've never been treated so unfairly by an employer.
To sum it up, my employment contract was only 3 months with lots of illegal clauses. I started Oct 23 and they put Oct 31 so I won't get paid for the other days I worked.
They plan on deducting 500 pesos from my salary for cell phone--duh, it's my cell phone and the usage is for the company, but no, they are going to deduct it from my salary.
Another horrible clause: all my sales commission can be overrided if they choose it to be a management account--even if I did all the work.
Additional awful clause: they have the right to change my salary, commission scheme, job responsibilites, whenever they want during my employment with them.
With all this said, I refused to sign the pathetic contract. So I quit Nov 7th. I have to fight to get the 2 weeks pay they owe me.
Another bad thing is, they said they will televise MCLH videos on their tv station and giveaway the prizes I packaged for them. Now, I doubt that they will do that and they have the prizes the band sent me for promotions. I don't know how to get them back.
But, even if this shitty thing happened to me, I'm gonna keep on going. I've decided to just form my own company. The only person who can really treat me well is myself.
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". What goes around comes around.
I'm just gonna find other options for myself. I don't wanna waste time brooding.
Thanks for reading my venting session.

okay my street teaming has had to take a back seat to life lately, but I did manage to slip a wristband on the person in charge of eyewear for Gucci during the Gucci show here in HK. She tells me she loves Chicago, loves rock n roll... well, what can I say. She needs to be Hammered.
Yesterday my daughter came home and said that her chemistry teacher asked the class to explain the results of some chemical experiment. "What is in excess?" she asked. They started to give her a scientific response and she said, "No, they are a rock band from Australia as you would know if you were addicted to RS:INXS last year like I was." So I think the chemistry teacher needs to be approached... if only my daughter were getting better grades in that class!
