To follow up on Noir designer Peter Ingewersen, he sent me a really sweet note the other day thanking me for LH cd and for opening his "ears and eyes to the band."
cool.

Looking good! I'm betting that's the first Lovehammers shirt to make it to Taiwan.
And just to add to the globalness (is that a word - lol) of this thread - Trees is getting airplay in Bolivia! It just blows my mind.
OK - back on the subject, I have to say that Peter is possibly the most polite fashion designer around. I'm so glad that he is genuinely following up on his word.

Trees is still climbing the charts over at KLITE. It's at #14. And yes they aired their interview with Marty! It's a good one. I will edit and upload it later today.

Radioclash: #14!!!!! Woohoo! I'm still voting everyday. Can't wait to hear the interview. www.1035klite.fm/index.php?strCategory=music_chart&intChart=0 Chk: Too funny. You do kind of remind me of the Traveling gnome. Love the pics and that the designer is enjoying the CD. Great news from that side of the globe. Den

Yes - keep voting and maybe if it goes really high up on the charts Epic will release the CD in the Philippines.
And on the interview last night it was really cool that the DJ mentioned that the station has received e-mails from Australia, US, Canada, Europe, & Singapore - so good job on that everyone!

Next in the series of Travelling Gnomes is a shot of my daughter in Hong Kong --where, oddly enough, we have yet to take ST pix!

Hey talk about a ST opportunity. On Thursday morning I am having breakfast with Hollywood jewlery designer Loree Rodkin. She has made amazing pieces for Madonna, Mary J Blige, Aerosmith, Jon Bon Jovi, Brad Pitt, etc. If you could see this press kit -- black cuffs with jewelled crosses, diamond skulls, etc you'd know why I am excited to meet her. As my daughter said, "Wow, I could see Marty wearing this stuff." I'll pass her the CD and let ya know how it goes. In the meantime, you can learn more about her cool goth jewelry and eyewear at www.loreerodkin.comedited to add pic. (sorry I don't have pix of men's collection, but u get idea) sunglasses with skull skull pendant cross pendant

Also sent 4 MCLH cds to Mia for radio giveaways in Phils, plus one set LH wristbands 4 stations there now playing LH --including one that just added Clouds to play list. Hurrah!

Awesome as always, C! Can definitely see the band sporting Loree Rodkin's designs so good luck with that.
And I'm glad you were able to get some CDs over to the PI - much appreciated!

One of my editors in NY just asked for some accessories story ideas for mag they are putting out. I pitched one on MC (the shoes, bracelets) that she really liked and will add to the short list. Will let ya know if it gets green light.

That blows my mind - how cool!?! Now you just need to convince her that your in depth research must include a trip to Chicago in Oct.

If anyone has KLITE's numbers for this week - please post. I'm hoping that Trees still went up the charts even though a lot of us haven't been able to vote.

You are NOT going to believe my meeting with Loree Rodkin. She is completely cool, rocker chick, fingers and arms loaded with rocker bling (today's theme: skulls). Her background includes designing houses for Alice Cooper and Rod Stewart, driving David Bowie around, dating Sting, designing jewlery for Madonna, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Mary J Blige, etc etc. Her good friend is Pamela DeBarres who wrote the groupie classic, I'm With The Band. I interview her, we're laughing and she tells me she is originially from CHICAGO and that when she was 19 she ran away to California with ROCKER boyfriend. LMAO When interview is done, I say, so we're both from Chicago, have u heard of band called Lovehammers? Her eyes got big -- "No, who are they?." I give her cd, tell her they are great rockers, most popular band in Chi-town, just signed major label deal. I mention that I flew to Chicago from HK to see them and I am going again in October. She says, "I hope you got backstage passes!" ( are you reading this, Marty Casey?) Anyway, we talked about band a bit and their sound, Marty's Bowie-ness, marketability etc. She seemed really happy to get CD --even if she mentions them to one other person, it's good, cause the people she knows are amazing. ;D

on the not-so-happy front, spoke to one of editors here in town about possible MCLH story and they won't go for it until it has something to do with HK/local market. This will likely be response on a number of occasions -- so once again, please release CD in Asia!!!
