C - you just flat-out impress me!! I just love hearing how open these people are in the fashion industry. They just seem to be cool about it and not all music snob-ish. She really must be fascinating to interview. And yes - you certainly deserve some kind of award for travelling the farthest for the band I always say that fans come all around the world for the guys and some people don't believe me - for shame ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm absolutely thrilled with Trees being at #2 at KLITE Manila and this is without a lot of us voting b/c of site difficulties - Wow! Crossing my fingers for #1 next week!

The fashion industry and music industry are so closely related -- and both rely on creative people who are always doing something new. It's not much of an effort for me to talk to these people about the band -- I only kick myself when I don't! thanks for encouragement. now back to that travelling award..... AND GO K-LITE!!!!!

Very true! I have to say that I've never been so acutely aware of a singer or band's fashion before Lovehammers.
(Of course, I would notice and would have opinions and would really enjoy certain people's styles, but never down to individual pieces.)

HEY AST-ers, I just bought the CD in my local record STORE! OMG!!!! It's finally here. There was only 1, but that was at HMV's smallest branch. I will check others asap. Moved the MCLH divider to front and centre and bought the CD after jumping for joy. Now we can do more serious promo -- and hopefully Sony will back us up!

Here's a quick update on things in Philippines where Mia continues to do amazing work. Trees is still number #1 on K-Lite. Keep those votes coming in!!! Jam 88.3 had a great 1/2 hour interivew with Marty the other evening, there is a (kind of) transcript in Marty thread, under MARTY ON RADIO THIS AM. When we have recording of the interview, we'll put it up for you guys. Clouds is #4 on Jam 88.3 and has just added the acoustic version of Trees to its playlist!!
Mia has also arranged interviews with MCLH for two prominent music magazines in Phils. Details later. so, to sum up. MIA ROCKS!!!!! You cankeep up with her PR adventures on LH board.

Now that Cd is available here, I have approached the city's major editors about MCLH articles for the papers. Fingers crossed everyone!

Also wanted to mention that my hammerhubby has put me in touch with an exec at Sony, who works in film division. He is kindly getting me contact for Sony/Epic, so I can find out about release dates in region and promotion. Now fingers and toes are crossed.

Chk, that'll be great! Hope that it'll be released in Singapore so that I can resume my ST work. Will check HMV later to see if there's a copy.

Yay!!! Wooo Hooo MCLH is available at HMV in Singapore. I went down to one of the 2 branches in Singapore and they had about 7 copies displayed quite prominently under M in the Rock/Pop section. But I don't know if these copies are imports or whether Sony/Epic has released the album in Singapore. Time to start journo harassing, radio station bugging etc.

My fellow "innocent" Filipino Hammerheads, if you're wondering why you can't purchase thru Paypal and go to Hammerjam 2006; it's because of one truly "tanga" Filipino, who decided to pull a major scam on Paypal and now those of us who reside in the Philippines have been banned permanently as well. An entire country banned because of one rotten apple. Sucks. I tried to purchase a ticket and to my dismay, I've been banned. Wah! I'm lucky I'm Filipino-Canadian but the problem is, my family in Canada doesn't think that going to a concert, coming from where I am right now; is worth the trip. So no, I can't use their credit card. Bah.
I'm very annoyed and disappointed that another Filipino would do such a thing but those of you know that this is not something new. Corruption is so prevalent in our country that it's became part of many people's psyche and way of life--definitely NOT part of mine.

Hey Darna, Welcome to the boards! I jsut heard yesterday that Clouds was #1 on Jam and almost shed a tear, I was so happy! As for Paypal, that sucks entirely. PM Tara and see if there is any other way you can pay. Otherwise, keep your eyes and ears open for details of the big Hammer party that Mia is trying to put together to mark the launch of the CD in the Phils. Hope to talk to you lots on-line! ~c
