Marty, Could you please give us some hints, short descriptions, or "moods" of the songs that you wrote with LA Guns, that will be on the new CD? Will you be playing any of the new material on tour? See you soon!!! Nancy

Hi Nancy,
We will be playing a few of the cuts on tour. We are most excited about getting the fans a feel for the new stuff. This series of songs are really varied. Some of the sings are just absolutely fun and written for that purpose, to let go of everything and just enjoy the ride. Some of the songs are sadder and darker than anything I have ever done before. It's a very honest record. I wrote the lyrics and then would have to immediately cut the tracks so there was no time for refining the songs are taking statements out because they are to open, honest or even caustic. It just the blurt of honesty that came at the moment of inspiration. I am happy that some of the songs are over 5 minutes long and have epic arrangements. There are so many unique moments that twist you and turn you thru the listening experience. Sometimes Tracii's guitar was so f'n amazing that I would step back and re-work my vocals because I knew they needed to be better or the solo would outshine the rest of the tune. I got to live and breath nothing but music for 30 days. I have not felt this kind of release in many years. I feel this is an important record for me. I got to take a good look at myself with this honest approach to the lyrics. It hurt at times but coming out of this studio experience I feel reinvigorated with life. I feel like I found some light after a long period of sadness.
Thank you for asking about the new album. I appreciate your excitement and look forward to seeing you soon as well,
Marty
