I know there are a lot of stretches where you do 3 or 4 or more shows in a row, but there are also stretches where there are 3 or 4 days off. Do you get to go home during this downtime or do you use it to check out a new city?

Alot of those gaps are being filled with dates or press stuff we have to do.
There is no going home. When you are out on the road you stay on the road. You can't park the bus in valet at the airport! haha When you have a few days off that also probably means you have a LONG drive and need time to get there. We have a two day drive from Florida to Rocklahoma. That's why we chilled today in Alabama, sat around the hotel swimming pool and jammed out on the guitar together. Time to do laundry and clean out you bunk. Last night I slept on a pile of clothes and my computer. Quarters are TIGHT!!!
