Hey Marty! I watched "I'm Not There" last night, the Bob Dylan movie. (apparently not a "biopix" but one that "captures the essence of this elusive genius" with several different actors-including Cate Blanchett...who was brilliant.... portraying characters that were based on Dylan's different personas at different time periods). Wow, have you had a chance to catch this crazy flick? Just thought of you during that scene with the fans and their statement "but we were your biggest fans..." after he plugs in electric. On to my question, I've never heard you mention Dylan that I can recall. What is your take on his songwriting style and do you have a favorite Dylan song? I have mixed feelings about him since my parents were OBSESSED with him back in the day and thats ALL they listened to. My Mom never lets me forget this classic quote from an 8 yr old me, after she claims he is a poet.... "but he can't even sing...Shawn Cassidy has a much better voice"..... but today I find myself listening to lots of those older songs.... I do love "Tangled up in Blue". Cheers, Katie

I really want to see that movie.
I have been a very secondary listener of Dylan. Have heard it tons because an X of mine listened to him alot and I really dug his stuff. The young Dylan was really inventive with his lyrical style and many of the songs have this perfectly ghostly feel to them. Ain't Gonna Work On Maggie;s Farm No More. So many genius lines on his records. The most popular Dylan tunes are still inspiring to this day. He was just absolutely brilliant in music and mind.
You still like that Shawn Cassidy??? haha
