I told several people about this message board and they couldn't find the link to it on the Home page. Why is the link in tiny writing at the bottom of the page? On both my computers you even have to scroll-down to see it. It seems far more logical and obvious to those new to MartyCasey.org if the forum link was with everything else in the "Menu" I think you are losing potential members with its present placement.

Are you referring to a link to the message board on the home page of the MartyCasey.org site? It's on the Fan page. As far as this board, it's on the bottom left of each message thread. Or you can just copy the URL when you're on the home page. Amy

Hi Amy,
I think what p12 meant about the placement of the message board link is that all the other links are in the "Menu" section but the message board isn't, and that's where a lot of people will probably look for it. It also took me a while to find it, too, especially because I had to scroll down to get to it. I don't know if most people would think to go to the "Fans" section first.

I can explain this. The site is now divided into central areas and each central area is listed in the Menu at the top. The Message Board itself is not a central area, but a link in the FANZ area. We did decide to put the links at the bottom to allow quick reference to some link of interest that someone might be looking for in particular. Most regular users of the message board book mark it or their browser has it cached so as soon as they type in Martycasey it shows up in the pulldown on the address line and they can go there.
Hope this helps... finding the message board is easy...it is the first link on the bottom navigation....you don't even have to click on the word menu to find it.

I understand what you are saying ....but.... To most people here martycasey.org IS the Forum....seems Strange that it isn't clearly represented in the Menu, and is considered a Sub-Category. Sure, it makes sense in a categorical way, but not based on usage. Just suggesting you add "Forum" in the Menu. I don't know if you can track activity within martycasey.org, but I would have to guess the bulk of it ends up in the Forum

I don't have stats, but I am 96 percent sure the message board gets more traffic than the main site. However, I think it should be the other way around. I think most frequent users have added the board to favorites or know how to quickly get here. I also understand what you are saying about telling friends about the message board. However, making the Forum a part of the fans section is probably most appropriate. I love this Forum, but I think the main site should be focused on Marty and not the community of fans. If a person has to look around the main site to find there way here then they will discover all sorts of cool stuff.
