Marty, Just wondering... Before you met Tracii and started writing with LAG had Tracii seen you on RS:INXS and had he heard much Lovehammers music? If not what brought you guys together? Look forward to seeing you in Redding! Des

Jeremy Guns has been a friend of the Lovehammers for nearly 8 years. We used to fly him into Chicago to play shows with us all the time. He even performed "This Town" on Mancow with us one year. He was a cool kid from LA that we all liked hanging around with. He took Nikki Sixx's place in the Brides of Destruction for a few shows and that is when he started performing with Tracii. When I went on Rockstar:INXS in 2005 Jeremy came to the taping of nearly every show. He really supported me thru the entire ride and I appreciated it. He even called my Mom weekly to give her updates of my performances and how I did. Jeremy always told all of his friends to watch the show and support Marty Casey. Tracii watched the show in support of Jeremy's friend Marty. I had never met him at the point. When I finally got to meet Tracii thru Jeremy in 2006 at the Cathouse reunion show, Tracii invited me into the dressing room and really had some incredibly supportive things to say. He said I was a great frontman and from what he's seen there ain't nobody that can do what I do. He said to keep working, don't give up and sooner or later I'll catch another break. He knew of the tough dealing I had been going thru with Burnett and Sony cause Jeremy kept him up to speed. It was cool to hear this amazingly positive pep talk from a guy that I idolized as a kid. It's kinda surreal that nearly 2 years later the opportunity came about to work with Tracii and join LA Guns. I'm glad I kept going and didn't give up as a result of all the turmoil with the label and Burnett Records. It's cool to be playing with the guy that gave me the confidence boosting pep talk years ago and helped to keep my fire burning thru the storm.
I just feel lucky to get to do what I love to do every day. I didn't enjoy the ride as much after Rockstar because the path was so filled with buried bombs. This time I'm just flying above the path and seeing how high I can go. I feel like I am in the right place right now. I hope that this opportunity will benefit Lovehammers in the future as well. Just like taking that leap on Rockstar did.
