My boyfriend and I attended last night's Stearn's Square Block Party concert in Springfield, Ma. We arrived really early and were there when the guys did their sound check (everyone but Marty). Tracii Gun was really nice and spoke to us for a while. He sat on the stage and restrung his guitar and I got a couple of nice photos of that. The concert started about 15 minutes late due to weather concerns. The band finally decided to just go for it. The crowd was really into the music and even though the rain started 15 minutes into the concert, most folks stayed. We had a terrific view since we were right at the front of the stage. Tracii was wailing his guitar right in our faces. His playing is absolutely amazing. Marty really rocked the crowd. Everyone seemed genuinely happy that he was lead singer for the L.A.Guns. At one point, Marty even jumped down into the crowd and danced in the rain! That just pumped the crowd up even more. They rocked it for about an hour - through intense lightning and the rain - and came back for a two song encore. Great concert - great to see and hear Marty! Got some great shots of everyone! Wish they were performing more on the east coast - and would come into CT.

Wow, we just got home a half hour ago from last night's concert. We had a 5 and a half hour ride one way to go there yesterday! So we stayed overnight and drove back today.

The thunder and lightning only added to the atmosphere.

It was my first "hands-on Marty" meeting and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

I didn't want to let him go. When he said they might have to move the venue or cancel the show because of the storm coming, I told him "Oh no, no no, you must sing. You have to sing. Don't you understand that? "

Well, shall I say: Marty did sing, and in that place all was well with the world.

the l.a. guns show at stearns square was awesome! i went with my mom and a bunch of friends. we got there around 7ish. it was a pretty small place and there weren't many people there. they were all in the bars. so we were able to walk right to the front to get a spot. around 7:30 a guy came onstage and told us a storm was coming so we'd wait it out before the band came. then a couple minutes later someone else came onstage and told us the storm was like an hour away so they were gonna start. i'm not familiar with l.a. guns music so I don't know all the songs they played. i do know they played this town, trees, can't always get what you want, wish you were ere, never enough, and STFU as an encore. the band had TONS of energy. i loved all the guitar solos. the guitars and drums were so loud though, that i couldn't really hear marty singing. after singing the line i guaranteed that you'll remember me! from this town, marty came and held my hand…that was pretty cool. during the middle of the show it started to rain and everyone got soaked. we decided not to stay long after the show because it was still raining and started to thunder/lightning. i did get a picture with marty though. and i also got a drumstick and two guitar picks during the show.

overall it was an AMAZING show and i can't wait to see more!

Spot on Chelsea. It was like a mini-Woodstock when Marty jumped off the stage and sang and danced in the rain. Good times! The rain actually didn't put a damper on it at all. As LMC said, they were going to start a 1/2 hour late, 5 minutes after making the announcement to delay, the band came out and Marty said, "We're going to do this in the fng rain".

Marty said, "this is so cool that they give you free concerts in the park." He kept saying the energy level of the crowd was great and that people were crazy for staying out in the rain like that.
