Just curious to know why the shipping charge is $8 . I ordered Holding Mercury's new CD (autographed by the band) and it was delivered in a nice, padded envelope and they only charged $3.

Many local bands don't charge that much at the beginning, but when you have mass orders from across the nation like the Lovehammers does, with different zones and costs differences, it adds up. All shipping at the store is $8.00 as well. Weight issues is something else you have to consider when in business, not only sending out CD's, but DVD's, TShirts, Shotglasses, etc.....all is heavy....why I'm explaining this? I'm sweet and nice like that I guess?..... ...Plus, I created the Lovehammers Store for them, so I know just a bit about these type of decisions. Why be in the hole in shipping? I ship an order to Southern California, will cost me DOUBLED as to ship the same items to let's say.....Virginia. Shipping costs is another thing in this economy that seemingly will not stop rising up either. Different "zones" cost more to ship to, depending on where it is being shipped from also. I guess you can always ask Dino about shipping costs, and he'll explain this as well. But it's his decision, and personally, I'd pay 50 bucks to get that sucka to me, but that's just me Hope this helps you understand a bit more about shipping, and the bottom line. If it only cost 3 bucks to ship all those CD's to world wide customers, then I'm sure we wouldn't have the shipping at 8. Dino's always been one to think of the cheapest and fairest possible price for items. I say $10.00, he'll say $7.00....*sigh* One of the main reasons he wanted the store, was a place for fans to get items that were special from them at a cheaper price, other than finding CD's on EBay for $500.00!!!! WOW, that's always interesting to see yes!!!! Kk, I've rambled enough about this issue....Hope this has helped you understand a bit yes. If not, PM me and I'll try to explain on more specific questions to anyone that has a concern on this. Nancy

Another example, and one issue that at the store, I've always tried to supplement the best I could without getting in the "red" with the band.... Let's say: a person orders just Antenna Balls. Well, that's LIGHT weight, and small, BUT will still cost ya 8 bucks to get. We can't say, ruh roh, that one will weight 7 pounds, and this one 4 ounces.... SOOOO....I always, as ya know Rockfan, will put in very special, FREE things in that order that is light weight, and/or less in shipping to get to you, I always make good for my customers in their orderings. You'll get that "free" items, either autographed in equal in value to what you are spending in shipping. Is this financially smart for the band? Probably not. Is this making them much money? Probably not. But I as well as Dino, takes cares of the people that love them, and will go far beyond our duties to supplement and take care of the people that order from us. Nancy

Your welcome darlin', and thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to me to know this. I LOVE doing this for the band. To support them can be done by anyone, but to truly LOVE them, can be done by only the ones that simply.....love them. I find it a beautiful way to spend my life. Many people don't find that "spot" in life ya know, that area where they can actually do something for someone else, and it's GOOD, it makes ya FEEL good to be doing good things. You by saying nice things, and supportive love towards the store, is most AWESOME and is what makes all the hard work worth while. Knowing people like what ya do. Well, is a good feeling, and something I wish I could share with everyone. Sort of what Dino, Marty, Bobby, and Billy is doing with this CD. They have found that something that is good. Something they want to share with everyone, cause they know it will make them feel better, and they will LOVE it. So it's exciting to share this experience with them, and to hear this new CD when it comes here, will be well worth everything!!!!! They aren't millionaires, they make little to no money in this business right now, not like it was a few years back, but ya know what? They still gots it. They got that POWER to share something good. And they are doing just that. Something POWERFUL, like Dino said. Something full of heart, not just from him, but from the Lovehammers. Yeah..... dammit, I rambled again....

OH GEEEZZZ...I first googled Ashton Cougar dammit ...that didn't work,.... What??? You think THAT dude is hotter than Dino??? pfst, you HAVE been away too long haven't cha my GE darlin' full of incognito spy girl of mine.... pfst This is why Ashton Kutcher's name came up. It had nothing to do with his looks, but everything to do with his former TV show, called "Punk'd": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punked" Punk'd From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaPunk'd is an American hidden camera practical joke television series on MTV, produced and hosted by Ashton Kutcher, which first aired in 2003. It bears a strong resemblance to both the classic hidden camera show Candid Camera, and to TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes, which also featured pranks on celebrities. Being "Punk'd" refers to having such a prank played on oneself, and to "punk someone" refers to making someone else the victim of the show's style of prank itself. After the joke progresses to a point, usually with the celebrity having become angry or frustrated at the outrageousness of the situation, Kutcher or one of the actors will announce to the surprised victim that they just had a practical joke played on them, usually with the line, "You just got punk'd!", or by revealing a large sign or banner to that effect. Each half-hour episode usually features three pranks."

[/IMG] dammit, I rambled again....
your very much welcome nancy. i understand what you mean about loving what you do. and wanting to do good things for people. thats why im going to school to be a nurse. i have always wanted to help people and make their hard times in life easier for them. i have seen what good nursing is like and how it affects patients recovery. my mom spent alot of time in the hospital when i was 12. she had to have a tumor removed that had completely incased her kidney. thank god that it was not cancer but their is still a chance that it could come back since the tumor frist started on her adrenal (sp its late and i dont feel like looking it up lol) gland. and if it comes back then there is a chance that it is genetic.... but so far so good! its almost been 10 years.... but after 10 years the chances that they will find another one is greater due to the fact that it is a slow growing tumor..... but if my mom wouldnt have had good nurses while she was recovering it would have taken her longer and she wouldnt have had the strength to do it. her nurses were more like family to her and us by the end. i just want to do that for someone else you know... make their life a little easier and be able to comfort and help them get past those rough spots. i will forever love this band not only for who they are but for what they have done for me. their love for what they do and their music helped me through some very tough points and i just want to be able to give back as much as i can to them... and thats by supporting them and never giving up on them. i will be there till the day i die. i love this band for everything that they are and that i know they will be

It's always a surprise as you wouldn't ever find that ordering anything from the UK. Nancy, thanks for keeping us up to date with all the information, you know we all love you..........right
