It seems like very quiet times on the boards these days. Maybe it will change soon. I miss chatting with everybody. I've been crazy busy but I'm taking a break from work for a couple of months. The funding ran out from my job, but it's good timing because I'm kind of burnt out and need to do some self-care.
How are things with you? Are you still teaching? How is your son doing with tennis - I think that's the sport he was playing very well.

oops, I went off looking for the hands... I understand - it's so easy to go off on tangents with Marty pics. It's great that you've got so many good ones!! I'm hoping there'll be a show between now and the end of 2008. I'll be able to go if it's not too far away. I intend to buy a better camera soon.

[/IMG] And then when you're ready I hope something is available for you. Enjoy the time off. [/IMG] I'm still substitute teaching but not every day, had a few things pop up and rusty nail puncture my foot so, I took a break. My son is doing good, still in tennis, and now heavy into his Health Science Technology II class, they get to go on clinical rotations and shadow medical personnel. RJ, HE's Driving!!! Now that is nerve wracking, I don't like how he drives.
I'm sorry to hear about your foot. That sounds painful and scary. So, your son wants to be in medicine. That must make you so proud! But driving -- yes, that could create some stress, I imagine. The male energy leads to pedal to the metal, doesn't it?!?

I'm supposed to be doing work now - it's 12:10 AM here - I'm such a dork! I'm too hooked on posting pics right now. Even if they're old and I've posted them a bunch of times, it's still fun. I love your pics and all the new pics from LA Guns. I think Marty gets more photogenic with each passing day. It seems impossible, but it's true! I have a new friend in town here who lived in Texas for a few years. He's about 70 or so, but he's very cool and knows alot about jazz and blues music, also used to race cars. Anyway, he's been telling me so many cool things about Texas and now I really want to go there. I know from all your experiences that you've shared here that it would be an amazing experience. I want to go to Chicago first, but then Texas might be next!!

My friend lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He travelled a lot with his wife until she died. They had a camper trailer and they travelled all over the States. He has so many interesting stories. He's got my route mapped out for my trip to Chicago. All the interesting side roads and also the ones to avoid!! I'd love to do a month long road trip. If only I could afford it. I was listening to this NPR talk show and these two women have made a documentary about Appalachia. It's going to air on PBS soon. I'm so interested in driving through that area - it's beautiful. Maybe I should start buying lottery tickets!!! I think I'll get going now. It's been a blast being here with you and, of course, spending a little time with our Marty man!! See you again real soon and take good care of that foot!
