Is there anyone that can tell me about this song? I gather that this is a new song of Marty's and I was curious about it. Anyone out there that can sing it to me? LOL

Ha ha--you don't wanna hear me sing!   Anyway, this is a fairly new song that Marty wrote. I guess he had played it on his solo tour last fall/winter, but I wasn't able to get to any of those shows. I heard it for the first time Friday night, and it was really funny! I haven't gotten the lyrics all figured out yet, since it was only the first time I'd heard it. When he was introducing it, he said that he wrote it in Nashville when he was down there to work on songwriting. He said that he would tell people he wanted to write a rock song, but they only wanted to write country songs. He said that any skinny white guitar player down there instantly got mistaken for Kid Rock!  So when he wrote the song, he said some of the country vibe rubbed off on it. It's in a similar vein to Nickelback's "Rock Star", at least in terms of humor. |
