This one is not in the book. I just wrote it to share on the thread. I missed posting here.
New Shades Of Blue
You make me believe in what I can't see.
A whisper... Your kiss.
I can feel your love so deep.
See life in new shades of blues... So brightly every moment a beautiful reflection of you.
My dreams no longer unreal... Reality is constant now that I have found you, Hold your body near.
You make me believe in what I can't see.
A whisper... Your kiss.
I can feel your love so deep.
My heart is yours to take.
I know with you beside me, No mistake can be made.
You allow me to be free.
An uncaged beauty... I give you all of me.
Live life by my side.
With no fears... No heartache... No lies...
Only your love.
You make me believe in what I can't see.
A whisper... Your kiss.
I can feel your love so deep.
True love...new shades of blue...life is so clear...I Love you.

Here's new one for ya...it's more a story-style poem: Journey To Harmony _________________ Memories swirled around his mind as he made his way up the long and winding stairs. Images of the day he found the picture of the young girl from 1968 in a box left on his doorstep swam through his mind once again. Her long blonde hair was sunkissed and wavy and bright colored beads glimmered from around her neck. The daisy in her hair seem to add the final touch of harmony to her and the picture. The more he looked at the picture...the more he wondered who she was and who sent him the box of pictures left for him to find that day. All came as clear as the sunrise that morning... As he checked his mailbox on the way out the door and found a letter from San Francisco. As he opened the letter and began to read...tears of joy filled his deep blue eyes of peace. The PICTURE was a picture of his real mother when she was 18. The missing piece to he heart was found and the letter revealed that he would meet her soon. Flutters of fear entered his soul...as he was uncertain what the meeting would be like. His uncertainty would be replaced with peace...when he finally met her. The harmonies of life could now take flight in his heart forever. ____________________________ Sunflower Gypsy (Shawna)

Here are some that I had to do for a History project recently...
Hitler
Hitler was a mean man And if you made him mad He would have found a way To hurt you really bad
He didn’t like people who were Jewish In fact he treated them quite Foolish
Between 1933 and 1945 He created the Holocaust This was a terrible time
Auschwitz Majdanek That’s where he put the Jews Where many of them died Some of them got sick But almost all of them cried
All of the survivors Will never be the same Some of them like Ellie Wiesel Wrote about their pain
Hitler was such an evil man That all the Jews had to hide A young girl named Anne Frank Never left her people’s side
The Flapper
The flapper with her Bobbed hair Short skirts Baggy dresses Powdered knees She was no longer confined at home Offending the older generation With her unacceptable feminine behavior Embodied the modern spirit of The Jazz Age Her life was fast paced She was a bit of a rebel Young Just enjoying life
The Roaring Twenties
Bath tub gins Model T’s Five dollar work days Transatlantic flights Movies The period of great advance
World War I Ku Klux Klan Anti-radical Palmer raids Restrictive immigration laws Prohibition The period of rising intolerance
The Roaring Twenties
The Great Depression
1929 It begins The Great Depression American lives were changed Forever Stock markets crashed Unemployment, hunger, homeless Swept across the nation 1941 It ends

I was afriad for a moment there...Memories of my senior class history class flashed through my mind...LOL...I almost failed that class for a while. Ended up passing with a 'C' in the end. I just couldn't figure out what to study. The instructor never told us to read the text and we had no note's. The tests were all things 'we should have known'. We read the "Stand' by Steven King?...News reports about football?...I just did not get it.
Anyway...good work. I like that you could use poetry in your class. That is a great way to learn.

THE SOUL OF PEACE ________________
The nights stars illuminated the sky of midnight blue with choir of crickets consuming the forest of dreams.
An owl cast it's large yellow eyes out into the darkness and the lightening bugs created a light show that all night's creatures could see.
A large glowing fire burned brightly by a riverbank of cold steel blue and the light from the fire consumed the soulful young man sitting by the warmth of the fire.
His eyes as blue as the deepest ocean and a smile so bright all the world could see.
The light cascading from him seemed to create a ball of peaceful energy.
And as it drifted out to sea he began to sing a bouquet of harmonies. ________________________

Sunflowergypsy you really paint a tranquil picture with your words. I too have been visited by my Muse, in the middle of the night (2am) Continuing on that theme, I've come up with this one. "Awokened" I woke up in the middle of a dream. Naked in the arms of the moon Lullabies long gone Wishing to remember That green meadow without a flock. Pointless walking shepherd. Oh, come back idle pasture! -Iwo

Something new...just a random thought.
Staring at the Walls
Staring at the walls...
I am looking for a doorway, Yet can not find a way out.
I seemed to have built a house Without any way in or way out.
Closed heart.
Closed mind.
Believe all of your lies.
Relationships out of reach, A lifetime of reality undefined.
No pleasure cruise.
No golden path to a brighter road.
I created this world And now I am left alone.
Staring at the walls...
My knees give from beneath me, And I fall to the floor.
My infinite sadness, I am at no loss for words, But I don't care anymore.
I may scream.
I may cry.
However, Never once have I wondered why.
I was always so afraid.
Never thought to even try.
Staring at the walls...
I lose track of time.
I really can't say I care... Never asked why.
Trapped in my fear.
These walls are not even here.
I continue staring at the walls...

Hi p12, Wow! Thanks a lot!, but right now writing is just one of my guilty pleasures Hi Star, we must post at the same time, so I went back to check your new poem, it's very sad and beautiful at the same time , But I hope it does not really reflect how your feel right now... Tell me it is just one of your characters...

Nope...safe to say that it is not me. Just a character. I could relate perhaps from a past moment in my life. However, I would say that the 'house' I live in has too many doors and windows. LOL
Thank you for asking.~Hugs~

The Soul of THE VOICE By Sunflower Gypsy __________________ Blue and red lights wrapped their arms around his towering soul. As he threw his head back...a whisper cascaded from his soulful mouth. His voice rose and fell like the midnight doves that flew outside in the springtime breeze. The sea of souls sang every word to their favorite song. They would forever be touched by the magic of his voice and soul. ________________________ peace and smiles Sunflower Gypsy(shawna)

My book has been released for sale!!!! I went back and made a second version in a smaller size and without the color pages (cover picture and minor print). The cost went down. So now two versions are ready for sale and download. Downloads are the least expensive. You can see the books (blue cover and gold cover) at www.lulu.com Go to the website and search Starcrossed. They will both come up. The difference is size and color for the inside printing. It is odd how they do pricing, but the smallest variation can make a big difference. ALL revenues will be donated!
