Just popping in to say Hi and let you know that I miss you all. After Rob
lost his job our desktop died and then we got this laptop I am on given
to us and it is very old and slow. I cannot load any pics or graphics
and it takes some time to even get online if even at all. I was able to
get online and I thought I better get over here and say HI before I get
a freezing locked up computer again....argh....I have been having a
rough bout of depression and I know how to manage it but it's hard
when it all hits you at once you know? Anyway I am thankful for my friends
and family. Man I have had some kick-a** angsty poems flowing out of
me but haven't written any down?! Maybe I should purge them haha.
Anyway I am enjoying your works nonetheless.
Good stuff gang.

I am still making a few last minute editing changes to my book... but, here is a random thought. How The WorldThere is so much to see, And yet we choose to be blind. Tying a blindfold around our eyes... In an attempt to forget, That there is a world moving all around us. What are we afraid of? What fears linger so strongly, That we would prefer a life in void? Placing hands upon our ears, We pretend that we hear no sounds. Screams lost in the darkness of those in greater need. Tears of souls in want of help. Our words could change everything... Yet we refuse to speak. Words, Are instead used for nothing in particular. Wasted, On idle gossip. Tall tales of those that were innocent, Until venom poured from our lips. How the world could be a better place, If we stopped all this nonsense. Took off the blindfold... Listened with our hearts and minds... Shattered the silence with profound thought... Words that restore life. How the world could be a better place, Even if not lived perfectly. (* made spelling correction... thanks Blue  ) |

Jilly, I am so sorry that you are going through such a tough time. I hope your husband finds a new job soon. I hope your bouts of depression pass soon too. Definitely jot those poems down -- doing so can help you work through your emotions. Take care....I'm sending positive thoughts your way!  Star, nice poem! If it's one of the poems in the book you're editing, make sure you change "idol" to "idle." |

LOL... One of my many typo's. Thanks Blue. No, it isn't from the book. I was just making it up as I typed, so I didn't notice the mistake. However, I blame my ITunes.... David Archuleta's song 'Crush' came on... I must have been thinking about an American Idol...LOL

I finished my next volume of poetry and released it at my LuLu site. I have been working hard on this one... it is 113 poems strong! only 18 have been posted or seen, and the rest are brand spanking new!!! As, you may imagine I am excited. And, I hope that I have all your support! The book is $9.78 for a printed volume.... and $4.89 for a download.
