Oh god yes, they're so great! I love the one where he's holding a drink both hands - he's adapting well to life in NZ! And the ones somebody from More FM posted are just so freaking adorable. (there's a few popping up on myspace as well)
From the comments people are putting on their pics it sounds like everybody had a great time and Marty was just magic.

And no doubrt Marty was magic, and flying down to Melbourne from Brisbane to see him in Australia, but to tide me over, can someone publish the set list he is doing on the tour please ?

He has said he doesn't really have a set list, he just goes with what the audience wants. I'm think there's probably a few that are guaranteed to pop up. Trees, for sure. Skinny White Guitar Player maybe? Wish You Were Here, Just Go..and some other songs from RS and maybe some LH stuff if thats where the night goes. If there's something you really want to hear, I bet he would play it if you asked.

Thanks Kelly, and just saw his Invercargill interview on You Tube, which is basically what he stated. Saw a det list on here from a US show and saw he did some RS stuff, and also Never tear Us Aaprt which he didnt get a chance to do on the show.

A friend cellcerted me in Dec so I got to hear Never Tear Us Apart. It is just amazing to hear him do that one live. Another is Honest I'll Wait. Both are just breathtaking  |

On the Rock Star INXS DVD, when JD is singing Never Tear Us Apart with INXS, Marty sings one line - and that one line just took my breath away. Don't get me wrong, I adore JD and I think he's perfect for INXS, but Marty..wow. I never realized he played that song live, but now I hope to hell he plays it at the show I go to!

Kelly--request it at the show, and he will probably play it. He usually asks for requests from the crowd. It may help to write it on a piece of paper to pass to him if you don't feel like trying to yell over the crowd noise. He does an absolutely AWESOME version of that song!!! I hope you get to hear it. |

Hiya, I've just been scrolling through this thread. I didn't take any pics at Al's Bar...I know, bad fangirl! I did write down the songs he played Mr Brightside The Riddle HMBOMT Call of Distress Beside You (with Hera - who is absolutely fantastic) Wish You Were Here (with Hera) Skinny White Guitar Player Creep Never Tear Us Apart Lithium Can't Always Get What You Want Trees This was the only show where I remember all the songs in order. At all shows he opened with Mr Brightside and closed with Trees. He did Creep, HMBOMT and Can't Always Get What You Want at each show. He also did Never Tear Us Apart at every show! Other songs over all the shows included Just Go Driving Blind I Alone Honest I'll Wait Hold On A new LH song that I kinda forget the name of - although I can't wait to hear it electric Thats about all I got for now, I've gotta get back to work! |
