Good news! I'm an Aunt again. I finally got a nephew! He was born on the 11th. He's early though so he's really small...but he's really healthy and soooooooooo little. But cute.

What I want to know is ... how did the teaching thing come about? Here I thought you were all poli sci and maybe doing something in government and now you pop up that you are teaching kindergarten. Interesting plot line development there ...

Interesting plot line development there ... Well, for one, the economy is AWFUL. Believe me, I was looking and looking and found only a handful of jobs I was even qualified for, much less interested in. So I was looking at daycare jobs, and sort of hemming and hawing about that when someone said I'd be really good at it. So I started poking around at grad schools, and found one near home for Master's in Teaching. So I thought about it, and realized how appealing the idea of chasing little kids around and teaching them alphabet was. It's either this or law school, and I know I'd suck at that. I'm way more patient with innocents than I am with adults. |

Hi everyone! *quick flyby here* Earlier tonight, much to my horror, I discovered suddenly my Road Worn banners had suffered a major issue at MS...*we have a love/hate relationship...more often hate than love*....Anywho...I've updated the codes for the banners to take peeps to a page Yerba made at lh.com. There's only two days left to vote...and earlier they were in FIFTH place (i.e. in the range they need to be in to possibly win the whole enchilada)...BUT there's one more round after this one...I think.
The lesson in this message is: Please update your banners (if you have them) to take peeps to Yerba's site and they can get to the voting from there. If you don't have a banner....WHY THE HECK NOT!?!?!?! GET ONE! Talk this up...if they win, they get a truck, trailer, gas money, and some cool gear...Can anyone say "Hammering at a town near you"? Now memorize that, go leave 'em a comment, become a fan and a friend, and VOTE!
TTYL...I've been relatively scarce of late, but will be floating back around more as summer comes on...the end of the school year is C-R-A-Z-Y...

I know how it feels to watch them grow up Fly. My oldest niece just turned TWELVE! I still remember her being a little bitty thing. Now it's kinda scary because when she turns a certain way she looks like me.
I think you're gonna do great at teaching Fly. Should be interesting what the kids learn from you.
