Jasper, that pix is hilarious. I had to push some cars out of the snow today. You do it because you have to. The cars get stuck in the middle of the street and you gotta get them going. Pushing cars is like a part time JOB here in Chicago! I'm glad I didn't have to push any cars. [/IMG] I'm soooo out of shape. That pic is from somewhere in Newfoundland, I think. This one might askeer ya, Marty! It could be this kind of winter for you on tour. Just keep the hot toddies going in your tour bus and you'll be okay. Just call me RJ... who is getting ready for some party captions - maybe?? I don't know, I've been out of practice.

I have been contemplating what 2009 is going to be the year of. I announce it at the New Years Eve gig and I want to have a good one that gets my focused on the year. Any ideas? Hee hee--how about "The Year of No Sleep", because it sounds like you're going to be verrrry busy!!!

You are right. I did have a year of discovery. I learned alot this year. It was a tough year in many ways. I'm excited about the possibilities of the new year. So much fun and continued adventure in store!!!

I've been thinking about digging out my grandma's recipes. She used to make the best divinity fudge and pecan pralines. I miss them. Time to see if I have her skills.

[/IMG] Tomorrow, beginning my power baking. [/IMG]
Hi Isa! Power baking sounds great! Yum! There won't be any power baking at my house this year - the dishwasher decided that the hot water intake line should start leaking and get under the whole kitchen floor and steam up and warp the kitchen cabinets and countertops, etc. I have NO kitchen to speak of at the moment, but at least I will be getting the kitchen I have always dreamed of. AND I don't have to cook X-mas dinner this year.

Hello all!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Sorry to be late. I guess I'm done shopping, but still working on cards and have to get packages out tomorrow.
I'm glad we don't have Chicago-style snow in my neck o' the woods. I'd go into hibernation and not come out til spring!

RJ - that last pic was hilarious . Reminds me of when i lived in Boston (suburbs)... Now everyone is wearing flip flops and shorts while they are out and about shopping (Florida). I loved here so i could play golf year round but I have not got used to Christmas in flip flops.

Hmmm, still thinking of that theme idea. I always like to come up with unusual words for great things.
How about the Year of Synergy?
My thesaurus says this is: collaboration, harmony, unity, teamwork, etc.

RJ, that snow tunnel photo is frightening! We're off to a rough winter so far, so it might get that way!

Liz, one of these days I'll actually get back to Florida at Christmas time. I usually visit my mom on off months - so not during the cold weather.
