Check out the just updated Music Player on Marty's site. We added tunes to it. You can now hear Trees with Dave Navarro (for all those who haven't heard it before) and we posted a tune you may not have heard before named Everything. Check them out here www.martycasey.com/music.htm

After listening to the lyrics, I'm pretty sure that "Everything" was one of the three songs he debuted at Hammercruise. The other two were "That's Life" and "Honest, I'll Wait," I think. "Everything" is the one I liked the best out of the three that night and I'm so happy it's seeing the light of day again!

Lesley, I thought I had heard it before, too. But I had forgotten it might have been at Hammercruise.

Lesley, I thought I had heard it before, too. But I had forgotten it might have been at Hammercruise. Lyn, I don't remember this from HC either. The only song I remembered as new was "That's Life". But as always when seeing Marty perform I tend to get ummm...hypnotized. I really love the lyrics in "everything"! OTB, if you find any floaters feel free to pass them along. (in private of course ) Janet

I dont remember this one from HC either, but it was a while back. And i am fairly certain that Honest I'll Wait was just written recently. I think I read that Marty said that he has just written it a couple of weeks before the first time he sang it at a Solo show recently.

Marty's voice sounds so strong on the song "Everything".....I really like it a lot. A completely different sound for Marty. I hope he sings it while on tour in New Zealand, that has such a great message for the teens he's helping support.

The message 'dont give up' is so strong and clear and the melody is uplifting. And I agree with sjjo - the lyrics and music are just getting better and better. It has been so rewarding to watch our favorite artist evolve so much over the last couple of years. And I believe with all of my heart that the best is yet to come

I honor those kids so much for what they are going through, there so strong, and 'Everything' definatly provokes hope and uplifting thoughts! I love all the songs soo much! But my favorite is still "Just go" since I heard it live more than a year ago, it such an inspirational song. And explains allot of what Ive been through the pat 8 years. I love the acoustics in the song to, it very pure and raw! and Martys vioce is undesribable its so good!

I do remember Marty playing this song at Hammercruise. I remember it and 'That's Life' both. I know there was one more but I am not sure what it was. It wasn't 'Honest I'll Wait' It may have been 'Guns' because I had never heard 'Guns' before either. I was really excited about them all but this was the one I liked the most. I don't think either one is exactly the same as he played them that night, but I remember thinking that night, OMG he is such a great song writer. I am having to spend a lot more time here just so I can keep listening to 'Everything'

I am having to spend a lot more time here just so I can keep listening to 'Everything' What a chore! I loooove Everything. I like the different sound in Marty's voice compared to some of the other new songs. I think Honest I'll Wait is still my favorite new track though. All of them make the wait for the new album bearable!

"Everything" - what a perfect song for the CanTeen kids. I hope they get to hear that one.
"Just Go" - definitely my favorite in the list (that's still considered new, right?). I "like" the sense of sadness and frustration in that one.

I am absolutely loving Everything.....I can't shake the idea though that the melody reminds me of something. Anyone with a more experienced ear have that feeling too?
Also, I was listening to Just Go again the other day, both my live recording from the acoustic show at the Arboretum and the one in the music section and have to say it is definitely my favorite. I especially love Marty in this lower register and at the very end this sort of raw/gruff sound to his voice..super sexy. Hindsight is 20/20 they say, this song has helped me to mend a past relationship....wish I had it at the time, because it was exactly what I needed about 8 years ago. Better late than never, thanks Marty!
