Gosh I can't think of anyone that has traveled there but I wonder if there's a consulate here in the states that would have info or maybe online like the travel channels site or the Discovery Channels website perhaps? or heck even your local library may have alot of stuff? Have a great trip and take lots of pics if you can. I'd love to read about your trip. :-) Jill

Sorry Angela, I don't know of anyone that has been there either. I think Jill makes a great suggestion of looking online for more information. Sometimes travel sites have forums regarding travel to specific destinations too. Great luck and safe travels to you.

Thanks for the feedback. I am and have been doing quite a bit of research from many sources but it is also helpful to seek out people that can provide a personal account. Books can be very fact based where a personal account can provide a heads up on things that one may not think about.

Wow.....Nepal. What a trip of a lifetime!
I don't know anyone who has been, sorry. Have you hit Google to find some travel message boards?
BTW, if you keep a journal or anything I would love to read it if you make it public. Please post it down here if you're able to. I can only imagine how thrilling that trip will be!

Angela I totally know what you mean. I too prefer to have a heads up from someone who really knows the area if possible. Websites won't always tell you what neighborhoods to stay out of and what Not to Eat haha so yeah I wish I could help more. For fun I looked at some sites I found on Google and they sure have some strict No-no's. But the scenery is gorgeous and I bet you will probably find a few McDonalds to make you feel at home. If you find a Walmart then I am sure it is the end of the world as we know it! Gosh I hope not..haha Have a blast

Try tripadvisor.com..........
There are some comprehensive forums from alot of travellers.
You might be able to find someone with Nepal experience on there.
I did a quick search on Nepal and tons of stuff came up......

Thanks everyone for your great ideas. I did come across tripadvisor.com in my searches and will definitely take some time to search around some more. I am glad that I posted, you have been a great help. It never crossed my mind to search for a forum for Nepal.
Cheers
