hmmmm - last summer we were planning a family trip to the Dakotas, but we had to change our plans due to unforeseen events. Maybe, just maybe it was for a reason. Maybe we are supposed to go this year.

That would be an awesome family trip, Rachel! Duane went out there as a kid, and was really impressed with Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument, as well as the Badlands. I've never been out there myself.

That would be an awesome family trip, Rachel! Duane went out there as a kid, and was really impressed with Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument, as well as the Badlands. I've never been out there myself. Hey there Nancy BBE...2 thumbs up for recommending a trip there!!! My hubby and I have been there several times. We have traveled all around the mainland US, Alaska, Hawaii and a bit in Canada, Mexico ...and there is no place quite like the Badlands!!! Big flat rolling acres, hills and mountainous areas, 101 miles of national scenic byways, 6 national parks and wildlife viewing--buffalo, wild mustang horses, burros (we have a video of one's nose coming right into our car ha ha ha)--great fun.. etc. -- Beautiful Black Hills region and yes Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse monument --great fun/learning trip for the kids as well and unforgettable... All with a wonderful flavor of the old west...with legendary names like Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Red Cloud, General George A. Custer, Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, Jim Bridger and Jedediah Smith and Native American flare... wild horses are breath-takingly beautiful and just have to be experienced.. You can also expand your trip and head for Wyoming and the Devil's Tower area close by and then across the state to Yellowstone Park area--a definite highly recommended area... Ok there is also the second longest cave in the world, the Jewel Cave and Wind Cave areas too to see. Although I have been in several caves, I would much rather fly than delve for feet or miles under the earth!!! You can see lightening arc way across the sky and a storm approaching for miles...very different countryside from the rolling hills and high bluffs of Western Wisconsin and the Mississippi river areas we come from.... We found the atmosphere and the people there to be great--friendly etc. with nice hotels or camping and lots of space!!! We are a bit tied down more now as we have acquired a new construction to finish off and several animals/and their babies to care for etc. (no kids here so we have been able to be pretty free in the past to travel etc.) so it would be great to have Marty/LA Guns/Lovehammers come to Rockfest in Wisconsin (Cadot area) or our local Fort McCoy area in Western Wisconsin (awesome outdoor concert setting even though it is a military base, it rocks!!!). Ofcourse all like the close concerts, but one can hope... Still one never knows...we may need to make a trip out there this year yet...One gets to see several bands too and the prices look very reasonable..looks like all ages and 10 and under free with paying adult.... I have not heard LA Guns live yet...have seen Marty 2X in concert and met him and Lovehammers once (solid gold good experience) ...would be fun to see him fronting again...and an outdoor concert would be superb. Marty puts forth an awesome concert "experience"...

Sorry to have to spoil the fun here....but I have just received word that Marty Casey will not be singing with LA Guns on their upcoming tour in July/August. So this show will not be one that Marty will perform.
We will be archiving the LA Guns threads soon.

Sorry for the confusion about the June date. Marty is doing no shows with L.A. Guns this summer. That is what I have been told by Marty.

Now for the next question - will he be playing with them after the summer - with the shows scheduled in September/October & possibly in Europe?

I do not know the answer to that. Right now he just wanted me to let the fans know he is not doing the LA Guns shows this summer.
***Correction: Here is exactly what I know
Marty says, "I will not be doing the tour this summer and there are no plans at this point for any LA Guns dates."

wow....it seems like LAG are still planning on touring...I wonder if they have someone else or if they worked things out with their previous singer. Its a shame since their album is done and Marty put so much into the album that he won't get to help promote it via a tour this summer. Hopefully this means more Marty with LH shows. The grueling schedule he has been keeping is exhausting though, so let's try to keep Marty in our thoughts at this time and wish him well! Maybe a blog sometime soon to ease the confusion? We are all excited about the CD Release party.

It has been exactly one year. Interesting. I read somewhere that Tracii said the cd would not be coming out until the end of the year sometime. Not sure where I read it, so please dont quote me. So at the moment i do not think that one thing is being given up for another. Life is dynamics. Nothing stands still for long. Marty invited us on the ride with him. I look forward to the next leg of the journey.

I was looking forward to them coming to the east coast. Let's keep our fingers crossed the new CD does well and they travel this way.
