Mod please place this in another area as appropriate.
We had a great time at the concert in Kansas City, one of the best bands I have seen or heard in a long time. I was able to convince a couple of people to buy the CD out in the lobby and actually gave away one of my CD’s that I was hoping to get signed for my daughter. Outside after the concert there was a guy talking to a couple of his friends and I overhear him saying Marty was much better on his own. I turn around and say what do you mean and am told Marty is better on his own like he was on the show. I ask the guy if he had ever heard a LH song other than Trees before tonight and he says no. I then tell him that he really doesn’t have all the information to be saying that if he is just basing it on the concert and hand him one of the CD’s I brought to get signed. I tell him to take it and I guarantee that he will be hooked after the first few songs. He just looks at me and I said don’t worry about it I’m a proud Hammerhead and I’ll just go buy another copy myself. Actually I bought four more, one to replace my daughters, one for my wife so she would stop stealing mine and two for a couple of co-workers so they could understand why I talk about the Lovehammers so damn much.
It has been a VERY long time since I have been so impressed with a band, so excited to see them in concert, unable to listen to anything else and more importantly never have I ever wanted to support a band so much and do anything I can to help them succeed then with the LH. I first found out about them when Rockstar INXS was on and I was checking out info on Marty so for all you seasoned Hammerheads let me know of what I can do in and around Kansas City to help promote the Lovehammers. I am behind them all the way and I want to make sure that Kansas City is behind them enough so that they will feel that Kansas City is a place that they want to always play and feel welcomed when they are here.
After I gave away the CD at the Kansas City concert we decided not to go back by the busses and wait for the LH since there was no meet & greet. Sure my daughter might get made that I didn’t get her an autograph but I bought her a t-shirt and I have a button, pen and photo that a fellow Hammerhead gave me so she will understand. One day I will get her that autograph though. So instead of waiting around to meet the band I had a better idea. I have 24/7 access to the building at work and at night there are only about 4 people in the word processing department working so I got this idea to take the flyer to promote the new album and spread a little LH love. My companies a little laid back and we have about 450 people in my office. Every floor has a mail stop where each employee has a mailbox. Since I wasn’t working the next day I decided to take my wife there with me and at 1am I made 500 copies of the album flyer and we placed one in every employees mailbox. The two co-workers that I bought CD’s for were the only ones that knew I went top the concert and both sent me an email the next day telling me that everyone was wondering who the Lovehammers were. If I managed to get just a few people to find out who they are or buy the album then I succeeded.
Anyway just let me know the best way how to promote the Lovehammers or tell me what I can do to promote them here in Kansas City I would be more than happy to Spread the Love.
