Okay...pictures and reports people? Those of us on Hammerfest withdraw need them...stat.

I agree with JS. The concert at the Music Mill was probably one of my most favorite performances yet. I'll tell you what I remember....Disclaimer: I'm old as dirt and my memory fails me at times and I don't hear or see very well.... ;D ;D....so take this recap with a grain of salt.
Here goes. There was lots of audience interaction. Several gals there were having birthdays. Marty pulled one up on stage. It was her birthday and he asked her what she wanted for her birthday. Looking into her eyes with faces just inches apart. She was speechless. She didn't know what to say although we all knew what she wanted for her birthday.
The show was so good. The audience was really into it. We were all singing along with them.
The place appeared about 2/3 full. It was good to see Angie, JS, Yak, Lisa C., HY, NancyBBE, Claudia, Gina, StephD, Kelly, Erika..so many more. Nick was there helping post the set lists for the boys. Camille wasn't able to make it. Dan Howard had the stage all setup before the boys arrived. Gail was there from Canada. I was in the second row from the stage. Lyn, Yak and Lisa C. were right in front of me. The boys were really pumped and lots of smiles. They looked really happy just like at Hammerfest. The set list was so good with Creep, Summertime in the City, Hold On, This Town, Tunnel, Call of Distress so many more. Before he sang Bulletholes, he repeated his story of how his Grandmother had died the night before the debut of the song in 2002 and how the song had reminded him of his grandmother. He then proceeded to tell us his Aunt died last night and that he was going to sing the song for her. He gave such a powerful performance of the song. On the set list, the last song said "LA Bomb". Those of us that had seen the list were not sure what that song was. It turned out to be LA Girl Woman. Dino and Marty explained that they had played the song about 10 yrs ago. They practiced it and thought it sounded horrible. They then played it one more time in the hotel without any amplifiers and thought it didn't sound quite as horrible so what the heck....why not make it the encore. They had their doubts, but it was fantastic. During the song he pulled Claudia up on the stage, then another gal, then another and another and the next thing you knew the stage was covered with smiling dancing gals. I didn't take any pics. I was sending out a few cellcerts. Lisa C. was right in front of me taking pics so I guess I'll have to wait with the rest of yuz.
My son and DIL(now no longer LH virgins) came with me and thought the show was terrific. Yak gave my DIL a LH wristband. My DIL said that when Marty sings he is not just singing the song. It is more like he is telling you a story.
It was such a fun and memorable night. Now maybe someone else can fill in the rest, post some pics and correct the errors.
Lovehammers in Indy...... for me it was 5 out of 5 stars.

I agree with Den - the show was awesome! I'm still on a high from last night (or should I say this morning! )
My hubby actually said he thought it was acoustically better than either HOB or the Hard Rock! He was sitting in the back and said he could hear everything - that the sound was really clear and crisp. He really enjoyed it. He also kept track of the songs for me. This is his set list: [image]
1. Guns 2. Town 3. One Year 4. Riddle 5. Tunnel 6. Break My Fall May Day 7. Sorry She Said 8. Creep 9. You Don't Know 10. Summertime in the City 11. Eyes Can't See 12. Maybe Tonight 13. Not unusual - let's get wasted 14. Trees 15. Baba O'Reily 16. Soul (dedicated) 17. Straight as an Arrow 18. City of Lights
Now go try to interpret that! ;D
The first band wasn't too bad - they were sort of country rock. They played for about 1/2 hour. I didn't catch their name.
The 2nd band was Rok Hollywood. They are a heavy metal band, which I'm not usually into. But they weren't bad - my hubby really liked them.
Then LH came out and I was gone for the rest of the night.
They were absolutely rocking last night. From the first note of Guns to the last note of LA Woman - they were awesome. Yes, LA Woman was the encore.
I'm sure I'll think of more things that happened, but like Den, the memory is fleeting. If I remember more I'll post again.
Pics to come soon.

OMG! I can't believe none of us remembered this. I was going through my pics and found pics of Marty playing that drum (not a bongo, but similar) during one of the songs. And I was so excited that I have totally spaced on which song it was.
Come on guys, which song did Marty play drums on?
Pics will definitely be coming - hopefully later today.

I forgot about the drum
Um... JS, I think that it was more like
I forgot about the drum, too. I also forgot to take pictures of the show. ;D
It was soooooo much fun and it was great to see everyone again.
HY let us know when you figure out what song it was. I know that I surely won't be any help.
I'm pretty sure Marty played the drum during the end part of Baba O'Reily. I was so focused on Billy, I didn't even see that Marty was playing it until he held it up at the end. Billy was on fire!
Billy really was on fire, wasn't he. My brain kept trying to tell me Baba O'Reily, too-but I didn't believe it . So I'll just assume that was it. Marty was awesome when he knelt down over that drum and started playing. I couldn't take my eyes off of of him!
