I live near Chicago, and have seen many LH concerts. I have also seen 2 MC solo shows. I happened to be in NY city, leaving on July 24, and could have gone to the Gramercy show, but really couldn't get it up (the excitement) to go. My experience has been that Marty doesn't seem overly appreciative of the efforts fans make. Sometimes I think fans want to believe he cares more than he does.

Great review, NeverFall. And if you'd like to see what she's talking about.... you may want to check the Org's photo page.... PS - Lauritech, I feel for you. But for me, I don't need Marty to be grateful to me. I'm just grateful that he and the rest of the band are making great music and putting on great shows for me to enjoy.

Lauritech, I understand your sentiments and have caught myself feeling that way at times; however, I have to admit that I don't know Marty well enough to know what he cares about and what he doesn't unless he actually tells me/us the fans. I have seen it go both ways with Marty, I have seen him greet and hug 100 fans after breaking his knee during a show, before going to the hospital, which definitely shows he cares and then there have been times I have wondered why I can't get messages to him regarding my own personal gratefulness of what he does musically. We are left in a presumptuous position as fans when we start to see inside someone through their music and their performances and we start to legitimately care for them because we are allowed, to a certain degree, into their personal life and space. On the one hand, it is probably a wonderful feeling to know so many people support you and would do anything to assist you in succeeding. On the other hand, how overwhelming it must also be to know that no matter how hard you try someone is possibly feeling left out in spite of every attempt you make to connect to your many fans. I just appreciate the wonderful music and the brilliant performances that Marty gives both individually and with the band(s). I will say that there must be a reason he keeps doing it, and since he has declared he is not “rich” yet, I for one, will continue to think that we, as fans, are a large part of that reason. After all, if I am going to take the time to be presumptuous about Marty, I choose to presume he cares… I hope you reconsider your opinion and keep supporting the band and possibly go to another show or two. We all have such a great time at them and the love felt from the fan community for each other, as exhibited on this website, has become one of the reasons I keep making the long trip to Chicago!

Nah the mic wire didn't hurt, I actually got punched in the side of my face, by a psycho bitch who wanted my spot & then thrown over the security barricade two weeks earlier at The Offspring show in NYC for my own safety & that was while the opening band Sum 41 was on!! I was hoping the LH fanbase wasn't how should I put it.... a bunch of crowd surfing a**holes!! LOL Thank God!!!!!
Anyway here are the videos I took at the show, not the best cause I only started figuring out how to use these feature a couple weeks prior at my Cheap Trick gig.

It was so hard trying not to bounce & not to sing over Marty. LOL I was restraining myself. Thanks again for the welcome. Hoping when they start touring again I'll be able to do some road trips & meet up with you all!!!
Enjoy ~ Allie
PS~~Oh Crap there is a photo of me looking at Marty.....ACK!!!!!! Can you see the hearts floating over my head!!! Oh Nooooo!! My friend Christina is the one with the curly hair on my left side. Too Funny!!
I looked horrid that day to, it was so friggen humid when we left NJ I had to put my hair in a ponytail & well of course, the day I look horrible I meet Marty Casey!! Figures....Crawls under rock!!

i think everyone's reviews pretty much summed up the show. something was off, but all in all it was a great show. the venue wouldn't let me bring my camera in so i wasn't able to take any pictures. but i was able to get a set list: :]

Fantastic photo Neverfall! I just saw my first LH concert at the House of Blues CD release party on June 19th in Chicago, and I too was in the front row and had Marty sitting on the rail right in front of me singing (I was pretty much right in between his legs) - too funny! I had the same look as you did! It's so funny to see all the photos and You Tube videos after the show with your face in every shot looking lovestruck!!! Welcome - what a fun place it is to be!!
