Can anyone help?

Hi

We've recently gone to Firefox for our internet in work, and so far they've not banned us from downloading personas - is there any chance some clever & talented (yes I'm creeping! ) person could do a Lovehammers Persona?

I don't know if it's possible, but thought here would be the place to ask.

Dawn, I looked it up. I didn't even realize you could do that to Firefox. I'm working on a couple now.

RF - it's a skin that shows up at the top of your Firefox browser window. You can create one in Photoshop - you just have to let Mozilla have rights to keep it in their library. Though you can keep the rights to yourself, but you may have to pay to have them "host" the persona in the future.

Thanks HY - Yeah Rockfan, it's on the main firefox site - I think there's something about personalise your profile (or something like that ) and there are loads of personas there. At the moment I've got Don't Panic from the Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy - as they didn't have any Dr Who ones!

Dawn, there is a Torchwood persona there in the TV gallery.

Lyn, I found that site and tried those dimensions, but on my computer the skins look WAY too big. I made them 3000x200 and 3000x100 though, just like it said. I uploaded it before I tested...*duh*...I'm glad I'll be able to edit it once it shows up in the gallery. I called it lovehammers1 - if anyone has a chance to try it, please let me know whether or not you can see any of the swirls with the heart and crown or the words. I can't see anything but the guys faces and part of my bottom bar's words.

There are 855 personas or so in the queue for their peeps to approve. Therefore, it will probably be a while. In the meantime, I've posted seeking an answer to why the persona doesn't seem to be fitting right.

Check your resolution, Cheza. Make sure it's not higher than 72 pixels per inch - which is standard screen resolution.

Nope, it's set at 72 per inch on those graphics...so that's not it.

Well, it was down to 600 and somit, but I'm sure the fact that I used pics on the persona of the guys (albeit MY PHOTOS) it may be held up in the authorization...*gah*. I have revamped it to where it will work right on a 17" monitor, so let it come up and then let me go in and edit it. I may work on some more, but I'm holding off because I wanted to be sure the first one went through.

Okay, the one I created is finally showing up. I did try to do an edit. It appears they must really be working on getting those approved tonight as the queue is down to like 29. SO, I'm thinking that maybe my edit will be up before the night's out. I hope. I'm going to work on another one and see if i can get it up before bed.

I'm trying to figure out if the edit I did has taken or not yet. The edit should have the "lovehammers" positioned closer to Dino. On my laptop it wasn't showing at all, but it is now (in the version I submitted as an edit). It seems personas are set up for multiple monitor setups or somit.

Dino is further away - I assumed it was because of his guitar?

I mean the word was closer to Dino in the edit. The S of LOVEHAMMERS is almost resting on his shoulder. He is further away due to the neck of his guitar. I couldn't lay it over Bobby! In the full version of the graphic you can see the majority of the guys - head to waist at the very least. It doesn't show that way on my computer. Oh well, I'm going to work on some more of these things when I get a chance. They're challenging.
