sunshine1, welcome to the board. It seems MiG's fans have the same beautiful spirit that he does. We were all very touched by what MiG did for Paula and cannot thank him enough. Please pass along to Team MiG our sincere THANK YOU SO MUCH for supporting Mim. What you are doing means a lot to us and even more to Lovehammers. Hi and thanks for the warm welcome. I'll be sure to pass your message along to Team MiG. I can't tell you how quickly everyone mobilized to get the donation drive going. I don't think an hour went by between the time MiG's blog was posted and the time the fans started asking what we could do to help. Will be sure to keep you posted.

Hi Everyone!!! It is my absolute pleasure to tell you all that Team MiG raised $622.00 for the 3 Day Cancer Walk in Paula Kuchen's memory!!! Mim and I are working on scheduling a time to get together so I can present her with a check from Team MiG and a card with the names of everyone who donated. We were so honored to be able to participate in raising funds for this most worthy cause.

sunshine! That is fabulous news! I am sure Mim was really happy to hear it! It is so wonderful how both MiG and his fans embraced a person and a cause that Marty and the LH's care so much about. It is a tribute to friendship and to what a wonderful woman Paula was.
Thank you again - all of you - for being so generous!

Mim here.
I have been tremendously busy all spring and summer training, fundraising, working alot and trying to catch up financially on a lersonal level. Most of what I have been up to is on my blog at myspace.com/mimh, so I won't bore you here.
To date, we have raised over $4000.00, much from Marty and Lovehammer fans. For this I am overwhelmingly grateful. Never in a million years would I have thought that a fateful meeting with these guys years ago on a commercial for ComEd would have eventually led me to the place I am now. They often say that the 3 day walk changes you. These changes I never could have expected. Many times over the course ofthe days, I feel as thorugh Paula and my mother are plotting on heaven ways they can get me to do things to push my potential in very many ways.
The tremendous outpouring of love and suppport has changed me the very most. I have learned to see things about people I would have never have taken the time to see before. There is a new sense of urgency about my work, both professionally and in charity. I feel I need to get through my work as effeciently as I can to allow my heart to breathe and to give over the lessons I have learned. Theere is so very little time in theis life we habe here and so very much to do. My walking partner, Carol, often jokes that if I won the lottery, I would probaqbly give it all away. I probbly would. I don't think I need it. Don't get me wrong, I would pay off my house and pay someone to hook up that unused home theatre system in the living room that continues to puzzle me, but I really don't need too much more. In a strange way,, I think that maybe it took the loss of my mother and the loss of my unlikely friend to see just how much I really have.
My training is going very well. I have dropped a full size all the way around. So far I have logged well over 300 miles. A very good friend even commented on how hard my butt is now. Who would have ever thought? I took a great seminar in CHI WALKING with Maurice Wills that changed my life. If there is a class in your part of the world, please participate. At least gert Danny Dreyer's book and learn to walk all over again. It will change your life too.
The 3day walk here in Chicago starts in Vernon Hills early he morning of September 8 and ends at 4:30 pm Sunday September 10 at Montrose Harbor. I am trying to make some t-shirts to sell to supports my army of donors and supporters so I can find as many of you as possible at the closing ceremonies that Sunday afternoon. I still need a ride to Vernon Hills about 4:30 9/8 so if anyone is going that way from Chicago or is crazy enough to off to help, I would be deeply grateful.
Again thanks for all your suppoprt. And please keep spreading the word in hopes that we can raise even more money to rid the world of this disease, so that one day, maybe some little girl can ask her mom what breast cancer is and her mom can tell her it was something that used to hurt alot of people , but not any more.
That is my dream.
love,mim

Mim here. This walk continues to inspire and change me. Probably for the first time in my life I feel I am truly doing what I was sent here for. I have a huge list of people tothank for bringing me to this point, Paula, my mom, Marty, Dino, Bobby, Billy, Sam, my colleques at WICKED, Stephen Schwartz and his wonderful music. my family who have been brought closer to me through this walk, numerous supporters , donors, my trainers, my walking partner. This list is still quite incomplete. I am working on putting together a WICKED package, ticket, hotel, dinner as a fianl push in my fundraising efforts. This will be on Ebay very soon. Next week I am doing a practice walk in Iow where I am from retracing ( literally my life's journey from my mother's parents' house to their graves to my mother's grave on August 23 (my parents' anniversary) for the first 19 miles and then from my mother's grave and the first country school that I attended to the school where mt mother tauight and I finished the first chapter in my education and back to my tiny farmhouse, a house hwere I attenede a birthday partyt for Steive Miller when I was just 3 or 4 years old.
With my new-found chi-walking technique this promises to be quite the journey. Through some difficult communication with my dear niece Abby, I just now feel I am capable of approaching this walk, thislife with the opennes and love I need for the journey ahead. Thanks Abby.
Have a great weekend, everyone. Keep your feet firmly in the sand and your eyes on the stars. It is going to be a lovely night.
love,mim

I am back from the 3 day walk, blisters and all. Only two bandages but still on my feet. The walk was amazing in so very many ways. I came back into my real llife where there was not someone to chher me on every step of the way, where there was not someone one every corner congratulating me for what I was doing. I had a very full day yesterday and am laying lowtoday but thought I would stopby to thank each and every one of you who had back back on this incredible journey. I will post something shortly on my blog at www.myspace.com/mimh. I have a few details (loads of ICY HOT soaked laundry, wet gear and dogs that misssed the hell out of my while I was gone) before I sit down to write something meaningful about these precious three days and how Paula is still introducing me to people. For three days, I got to return the favor and introduce her to a lot of people. We are all better for doing this. because I knew all of you, I have been changed for good. Thanks again ever so much for all your help and support. Now when was your last mammogram? love, mim
