Thanks beachgirl. It's so funny, because I did that in the middle of the night because I could not sleep, I had a stopped up nose, a half broken 6 dollar walmart microphone headset, and did not know how to use the program properly...I thought of re-recording and sending a better one in but decided it was not worth the trouble to obsess over it. I was honestly suprised to win.

Yeah........I'm already leaving her behind for another Chicago event that weekend............perhaps I misinterpreted when I read you can win passes........I took that to mean more than one.....specifically two........which is why I've been hinting to the missus for a few months now that I was working on a special October anniversary surprise for her and to keep her fingers crossed.

I'd rather she went backstage than myself..........I wonder if that is possible.................

Anyhoo..........I have already asked Dan for clarification.

I am who wrote that sentence on the contest. Since there were 3 prizes/winners discussed, the plural form is "passes." I never understood that a winner got more than one pass each.

Now I am really confused. I heard that even the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are not allowed to bring someone now. That only all the people whom entered get to go to soundcheck and that is it.

Argh, yeah now I am goin'....lol, my friend Raechel and Melody who also entered want me to escort them. So I am going but I would have surely given my pass to Kara, she is a very very cool hammerchick. sorry Rachel. I was away for two days getting my mental health issue in check...

Yeah, I think that was my problem, spending too much time recording the damn song, the really funny thing is that Saturday night I was chatting with Marty and I said "Vote for me dude' and he said "I already told Dan who should place in this contest and I havent even heard yours...ASK HIM" that is what he told me. so since I didnt win, that made me feel really good anyways. and yeah. Yours was the only version I have heard besides Fish and oceancats. I should probably get around to listening to the other winners, since I have heard nothing but good things abuot Marnie and KimmieP's versions.....I just thought it was WILD that they picked three females whom are like pretty much best buds. Thats real cool and really bizarre at the same time, I thought at least one dude should have placed, but it makes me think that the band were looking for females to sing and not guys. We have the wrong anatomy to impress these young whippersnappers...lol

No, I am not going. Tracy is using mine if they will let me transfer it. She has always been first in line for it. As far as guests, I talked to Dan Monday night and he is vacation now. I emailed him so I should hear back when he gets done with vacation. Marnie is concerned with the guest thing too, of course she is wanting Mark to be able to go with her, and Kimmie wants Chuck to come too. They are all in the same position. If all goes well, guests are allowed, and Marnie can bring Mark, Kimmie can bring Chuck, and I can give my passes to Tracy and whoever else I draw from a hat (either Kara, Sheria, or Heather).

FYI - the guys did not have names when they chose winners. We could have been people from other ends of the world that never met for all they knew. Also, I am friends with Kimmie, and I am friends with Marnie, but those 2 do not know each other, so it's not like the 3 of us are best friends. They are both very close hammerhead friends of mine yes, but it's not like we are the 3 musketeers...I love my hammerhead friends but it takes years to get on my best friends list...lol. Notice how my song had the messages pulled out of it, that is because when Dan gave them the songs there was no name, nothing attached so it was solely on performance. I was surprised because I had actually pulled out of the contest in August since it seemed to cause so many problems with other competitors, but apparently Dan asked Kara on IM the day of the announcement if I was still in and she told him yes at the last minute (she sort of took it upon herself LOL). Please do not feel as if we won because we are friends, the band had no idea who they were hearing. Kimmie's was just good, no question, and Marnie's was pitch perfect and she had Mark produce it for her too. Not sure why I still placed but apparently they heard something they liked. I don't think it had anything to do with sex, just what they liked.

RESPONSE FROM DAN REGARDING SOUNDCHECK GUESTS/PASSES

Hey everyone, I am back from vacation. It was great, thanks to everyone that wished me a good time and FU to the person that wished I would get eaten by a shark or drown! Anyway, I received tons of emails concerning who gets in to the Sound Check. As I listed before, only the people that entered can attend. I actually caught some shit from Management for even allowing people into the soundcheck in the first place. I feel bad for the people that want to bring spouses or friends but this is the way it has to be. If you entered and are unable to attend, substitutions will also not be allowed. Get your butt on a plane and get to the show!! T-Bone doesn't know it yet, but he will be the contact that day outside the Metro. He will bring the people on the list in and stay with them until the check is done. Once it is done, he will take everyone back out until showtime. I will contact everyone individually about the times you should be there for the check. Please don't bug anyone about trying to get around the system or sneak people in, this will only make my life harder. I am trying to get all the prizes together now for the top 3 so I can mail them out. Once again, everyone that entered, please email me your full name if you are attending. And if the top 3 read this before I send an email, please send me your full names and addresses.
