This myspace contest things seems so bogus to me. Clearly that Hinder group who has come out of nowhere and emassed such a large lead in 24 hours or so has some auto voting script thing going on. GRRRRR!

Bumping this because they'd managed to make it back to #7. Keep clicking folks. It is important to at least keep them safely in the top 10 so that people see them when they come to the best Artist page.

I agree with Cindy about the number 1 group Hinder, they have to have cheated to come from zero to number 1 in one hit!

They've recently added this to their rules:

NEW Some of you think that using auto-vote generator software, multiple ip's posing as one, click robots and a plethora of other CHEAT software, will get you votes. WRONG! Implemented in our code, are flags which tag which votes are not true & unique. VOTERS who are CHEATING, will not only have the votes disqualified from the platform, but will also be given 1 warning and then if their behavior persists, will be BLOCKED from MyRockinProfile for good. We know how much fans want to help get their bands visibility, but cheating to win is a violation of our ethics code. (We already know who has cheated... and will deal with this issue before November 1st, 2006)

NEW Some of you have been sending hate mail as a means to get a band in close tie the vantage point. Again, we appreciate the dedication & time spent in promoting the band you love, but hate mail makes YOU look weak and isn't doing 1 fkg good thing for the band you love's image. If you really want to help your bands get to the top, contact us directly. We love hearing from hard-core fans and help them in their efforts

LOVEHAMMERS are currently 8th place but if we keep voting we can get them up at least 4 spots as there is only 40 votes or so between 5th and 8th places.

C'mon, keep voting every hour, I try to get in at least 16 votes per day.

They've moved down to #9, but Helen's right. We can move them back up to as far as #5 easily. There aren't that many votes separating #9 through #5 -- less than 100 votes!

It has been suggested that we strike an alliance with the fans of Juke Kartel (Toby Rand's band). We vote for JK in Best unsigned band, and they vote for Lh in Best Band w/a label. We need someone to approach the JK fans. Any volunteers?
