Hi All from the first time I saw Marty on Rockstar, I thought "this guy ROCKS". I'm on the west coast so I wasn't able to vote until 11pm. I was a nervous wreck waiting every week to see him and waiting to vote just about did me in. But I did it and thought for sure he was going to win. Still baffles me why he didn't. But now after all this time, I'm glad he didn't. Have you seen INXS with JD??? Those guys look half dead and JD, well he is just plain weird. The week before the final vote, my husband called me and said "I got tickets to go see Rockstar. It's 400 miles away. do you want to go?" Hell ya! So off we went. We got there early so we got in. Whoa! What a show! And when we got home and watched it on tivo. There was hubby having a great time, snapping his figures (still can't figure that one out) as Suzie jumped down into the audience and cruzed right by him. We can't wait to see LH open for INXS. I'm surprised their not playing the "Download" concert. That would be killer........

Hello all, newbie from Nebraska here. ;D I also am a Marty fan via RS:INXS. I have my daughter to thank for it (she's 4). I was looking for some kid appropriate interesting tv she could fall asleep to and got hooked on the show. She never would fall asleep during the show until after Marty performed though. She's now a Marty fan as well. I was secretly glad that Marty didn't win RS. I felt he just didn't quite fit the mold they were trying to pour him into. I'm way more pleased that he gets to stay with Lovehammers and do his thing! and that I have this awesome site to discuss and gush about him on. Thanks ladies.

m'name's sheria. 18. brooklyn. long time lurker first time poster. i've loved Marty Casey since Lithium (i am not a fan of Nirvana covers but Marty's is the only one i've seen work and work so fabulously) i've been devoted to him eversince. i was a snarkgasm, TWoP, Rockband, Leperpop, Marty Myspace Blog/Group freak and am now glad that there are various others here who share the same freakishly obsessive fanatacism. i strive to be more like Marty Casey everyday (it used to be Mother Teresa but things change). err.. my other favorite artists are as follows: The Cure, Arcade Fire, Le Tigre, Joanna Newsom, Antony and The Johnsons, The Clash,The Slits, Les Savy Fav, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Bikini Kill, Gravy Train... all in no particular order (except The Cure they're the ultimate i love them). oh and of course Chi-towns best kept secret The Lovehammers. rocks out to This Town . so um thanx for having me!

Hello, I am from WV, and I am a huge Marty Casey fan. I hope his success from the show will get him signed to a major label so the world will know how powerful his vocals as well as his heart and soul is. Marty will never be someones puppet. He seems to be too strong willed as most lead singers are and will ever be. Props goes out to him and I wish him and his band all the luck in the world while on tour. I will be checking them out while on tour. I will definitely have to travel a county mile or two to get there, but it will be worth it.

Hi everyone. I decided to move over here from the msn site because of all the recent thread deletions. The mods are going overboard there, imo. Anyway, I'm 39, and am kind of in a transition period now between grad school (which I quit in the spring) and a new job that I start on Monday--so I've been spending a whole lot of time online lately.
I'm a big fan of both Marty and INXS--can't wait till they come to Oregon. :-)

Hello everyone! Huge Marty fan all the way from the Philippines here. I started watching the show initially because I've heard from news that there was a Filipino among the contestants (that would have to be Mig of course lol) and from what I saw and heard of him, I wasn't all that impressed (sorry). Later on, my attention was grabbed by this tall, blonde and blue-eyed man who was really cute but I've never heard him sing and when he did 'Lithium', I was BLOWN AWAY!!! With that, I started to root for him to win even if I knew in my heart that he may not be 'roit' for INXS, but as the competition went on I saw for myself the making of a true artist who not only possesses immense talent and charisma but also has a big heart, not mentioning intelligence too. To be honest, I was not at all dissapointed that he didn't get the INXS gig, everything happens for a reason and I believe that the only reason why Marty didn't win is because God intends him to do much bigger and much better things.
So yeah, I'm glad us Marty fans are gathered here on this awesome site!!! Keep on rocking!

Hi everyone! Started watching RockStar during week 3 and knew Marty was a 'real' rock star right off. He stood out with his voice, style, intelligence and looks. I was an INXS fan in the 80's so that's why I started watching. About halfway through, I figured they'd go with JD, even though Marty was the true talent. JD just seemed to fit their style. I was disappointed Marty didn't win, but I truely think it was better for his career that he didn't. Looks like Rockstar will be back, looking for just that, a 'Rock Star'. Had Marty auditioned for THAT, he would have won.
I enjoy this site. It's great to see Marty and the Lovehammers have such a huge following. I'm sure they won't have any problems making it outside of Chicago now. Listening to their albums, you could easily imagine their songs being hits on the radio. I look forward to it, and hope to catch them in concert soon!

Hi All. I'm Daycreek and just realized that I hadn't introduced myself. Another mature(40) woman with a thing for younger men. Lovehammers are my current favorite band and I really think Marty Casey is amazing. Luckily my husband (32) is a fan too. As is my son (15). Music is such an ageless, timeless art. I am glad that Marty didn't win Rock Star because I want to see him do his thing. I'm glad to be in such good company.

:'(Hi, Guys. I just joined and can't tell you how grateful I am that you have this site. I was wondering how many other over 40 women love marty to distraction? I play lovehammers and all the Marty RockStar songs in my car. People think I am obsessed so I have learned to keep it all to myself. It will be great to have others to share my love of Marty with. Keep on Rockin.

Hi everyone. I'm Chris from Valencia, CA. I'm another over 40 (48!) who became a Marty fan since the start. Once he did Lithium, I knew this guy was destined for greatness. He fine tuned his performance and got better each week. I think he is actually way better off the way things turned out. Marty and the LH will be HUGE. I had forgotten how much I love music. I listen to RS music (especially Marty) in the car constantly. I can't get enough of Creep (better than Radiohead). The small venues slated for the tour are disappointing. The LH will be filling larger places on their own before too long. I've never even heard of the place they're playing in LA.

Hi, I'm Jo from North Dakota! I, too, found Marty thru RS INXS. I love his intensity when he is performing. I enjoyed reading his blog and found his intelligence to be a beath of fresh air. He sounds like a person you could sit and talk to for hours. Loved the quote about action without thought can be a train wreck. A man who uses his brain is a real turn-on.
