I have watched the RS videos of Marty so many times that when I am just listening to the songs, I am picturing the entire performance. Like during Mr. Brightside, "okay, now he turns his head to the left, now a little guitar strum, cut to the monitors overhead, back to Marty, there's a little eyebrow raise, now we see JD looking so thoughtful, back to Marty, pan out, now a closeup (yay!) then the audience going wild...."
I need help.

You're not alone. I tried explaining why I am flying to chicago from Hong Kong to see the opening act of a concert and it sounded so ridiculous -- but I haven't changed my mind!

Lithium (partly because I love kurt cobain and he sounded like him ;D) and Mr. Brightside are also my favorites!!! I also keep watching them over and over... I even put them on my phone so that I can watch them even at work. ;D

So there is this part during the Hit Me Baby One More Time Week where at the end of the reality show portion for that week they show Marty going into the studio. He is saying something about how he has never been so nervous going into a rehearsal as he was then. They show him standing at the microphone, looking at the guys in the band and for like 1.5 seconds his eyebrows lift like a sad puppy dog and he looks so unsure of himself and that is so unusual for him to show that part of him. It is so enchanting to me, I watch those 1.5 seconds over and over, just to bask in a moment of his real life. This is obsessed, right? That's what I figured

That's what I figured let' me just admit, now Shuckra, that Julianah and I have discussed those same 1.5 seconds on more than one occasion. I call it flummoxed marty. I think she is making an animation of the part where he scratches his head in bewilderment. We are all pathetic together.

I always think "Bless his heart" (in a good way) that one little look of uncertainty is priceless and real. Damn, I guess he's human after all. chk, if you ever get that bit ask Julianah to share, pretty please.

Can I mention another moment that shows that side I think... wk1 when Suzie asks if he's had his voice checked out. I can't get over his reaction to that..... know what I mean? Made me want to give him a big hug and I wasn't even addicted to him *yet*.

And after that, everytime I see him perform, I wanted to hug him ;D. Also I just want to comment that he is really good in answering the questions of INXS... so witty... ;D

I do the SAME thing, penny. Especially with the acoustic version of Trees. I loved that performance.
On another note, I saw a shooting star on the way home the other night, and instead of wishing for world peace or something meaningful...I was all, "Oooh, ooh! I wish to meet Marty one day." Then I got all embarrassed afterwards.
