I just listened to bits of Jim McGorman's new CD from the main page of .org. Love the whole CD especially the songs co-written by Marty . It sounds sorta John Mayer-ish which is good. Check it out everyone!!

Darn it, I have to buy that CD. When we did the wristband pic with the houseband at the taping, Jim was the one who was not ready and up and running yet to sell his CD's that day.
I bought Rafa's--very jazz guitar-ish, lots of fusion, very little vocals with some long 11 minute songs. And I bought Nate's which is currently spinning in my disc player at home. Nate's CD Rocks, hip hops and has a lot of variety--lots of killer songs on there and I'd reccommend it highly. Cant wait to get Jim's, he's so nice too--as they all are.
Thanks for the tip, RF!

Rockfan, yeah I bought the CD and I really like all the songs on it. The ones that Marty co-wrote with Jim are "Do You Remember" and "Here is Now". I have the CD in my car on continuous loop and everyone who sits in my car always come out humming "uh huh huh uh huh huh" from the Do You Remember chorus. It's that catchy! I would say that the CD has a kind of 80s sound to it. My all-time favourite is Let's Not Fall in Love. The CD is different from MCLH in that it's pop. It has great tunes and great lyrics and of course Jim's vocals are very easy on the ear. I strongly recommend that you buy the album! Diva, I'm so envious that you and the other girls got to meet and pose with the House Band...all of you look really nice in the photos.

I had planned to buy this cd, but hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, when I heard Marty cowrote 2 songs I ordered it right away! The songs are really catchy. You can listen to the whole thing on the website, not just clips. I have had a bit of a crush on Jim since last season of rockstar. He is so talented, and I love his voice. Check him out here too: www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-xeBcXKulg

This is great to have all this buzz about the HouseBand happening here. All the guys really deserve promotion, exposure and CD sales. I was thinking.... Sure would be great if Mark Burnett used one of the RS future seasons to find this band a Lead Singer ;D ;D There would be interesting dynamics for a Super Season of "Rock Star Houseband"

I am not sure where to post this sad news but it looks like Storm, Magni and the house band have been kicked off the Supernova Tour, and Toby's, Dilana are still on with Toby's band Juke Kartel fronting. I will post this in all appropriate threads: www.tmz.com/2006/10/11/more-problems-for-rockstar-supernova/More Problems for Rockstar Supernova Posted Oct 11th 2006 5:45PM by TMZ Staff Magni and Storm Large, two finalists in the top 5 on the CBS reality show "Rockstar: Supernova," have been essentially fired from the opening act on the upcoming Rockstar Supernova tour. This is just the latest controversy to besiege Tommy Lee's new band, Rockstar Supernova, since the reality show wrapped production last month. First a California punk band claimed rights to the name Supernova and sought an injunction to halt the television act from performing or recording under the "Supernova" brand, unless they changed or added words to the name. A San Diego judge ruled in favor of the punk band and forced the CBS backed group to find a new moniker. For once Davey trumped Goliath! Tommy Lee and the rest of the band, including the show's winner Lukas Rossi, changed the name to Rockstar Supernova. With a tour scheduled to begin on New Year's Eve in Vegas, the bill's opening act was to include The Panic Channel, host Dave Navarro's latest band, as well as, fellow contestants Toby Rand, Dilana, Magni, Storm Large and the program's House Band. But now TMZ has learned that due to financial reasons Magni, Storm Large and the House Band have been kicked off the tour. Toby and Dilana are still on board (thank God!), but will now be backed by Toby Rand's Australian group Juke Kartel. Evs! Though this is sure to be a blow to Storm Large and Magni, who is already a bona fide sensation in his native Iceland, the real question is how fans will react to the news. And while Magni and Storm will be sorely missed, we're still hoping they add the ever unpredictable and fabulous Zayra Alvarez to the bill. A call to Rockstar Supernova's record label was not immediately ret

Yes it's sad news indeed. I read about it from Jim's post on rockband.com. It seems that the House Band only found out through the grape vine and that they did not receive official word. Not sure how true that is...but the post was from Jim so very likely it's true?

With Regrets from the HOUSE BAND Current mood: aggravated
OUR APOLOGIES
Well, at this point it seems somewhat redundant to offer an update, as there have been several posted throughout cyber-space, however, for the sake of clarity, we, (Paul, Jim, Nate, Sasha & Rafael) the HOUSEBAND, aka. OB:House feel compelled to publish an update of our own.
Yes, it's true. Evidently, we will not be taking part in the upcoming ROCKSTAR tour. We've heard through the grapevine that this was a decision made solely for financial reasons, however, we assure you that those, "financial reasons" had nothing to do with any changes made on our part. Terms were agreed upon sometime ago and it had been our intent to go and rock venues back and forth across the country under those terms. Apparently at some point those terms became unacceptable to parties within the ROCKSTAR supernova management and we were subsequently fired from the tour, information which was available online before we were even told.
It is with deep regret that we must apologize to those of you who purchased tickets for a tour bill that included us, not expecting we'd be removed from the bill. We were just as surprised as you. We consider the act of selling one thing and delivering another not only irresponsible, but extremely unprofessional.
In no way do we hold Mark Burnett or any of his Production company responsible. Those responsible know who they are and will have to face the consequences of their actions.
For all of you who want to hear the HOUSEBAND, we will be touring backing up Paul Stanley starting October 21st in Atlanta, GA. The complete itinerary can be found at Pollstar.com. We hope to see you on the road! Thank you very much to all of our fans. You guys are AWESOME!
Warmest regards,
Jim McGorman, Paul Mirkovich, Sasha Krivtsov, Rafael Moreira, and Nate Morton. Always, your HOUSEBAND.

Thanks for the updates on OB:Houseband! This is an awful situation. I really think the Houseband is fantastic. Hope I get a chance to see them perform live sometime.

To say the house band is an understatement!!! With each year and each performance, I came to appreciate their talent more and more. I'm so happy to have someplace to share my light bulb moment regarding guitar players as in Rafie. For most of my rock years I have wondered about the facial contortions that guitar players go through. I just didn't get it and I was judgmental - thought it was dorky. But after watching Rafie it all became clear..............and Rafie IS ONE with the instrument!! I love watching him
