[/IMG]
I COMPLETELY AGREE!! This performance was horrible to watch because Marty wasn't featured. What a waste. I have compliled my favorite RSINX performances so I can relive the show. Logically, this should have been the final in my movie, but I hate that ending. My final is Marty's encore of Trees. Everything after that on the show is meaningless to me. (Just a tad biased!)

I am going to name two songs that are my least favorite performance of Marty and they are: "You Really Got Me Now" and "What I Like About You". Marty did not do bad on these songs as he was always been very consistent and never had a less amazing performance. I just simply could not explain why these two performances aren't my favorite. I agree with you simply because I HATE HATE those songs! So in reality it's really not about Marty and his performance, it's just that those songs suck, IMHO.

I think that my least favorite Marty performance was the US performance, I did not get to hear Marty sing. He had looked so lost and alone, during that performance, that I just wanted to pull him out from my television and give him a big hug. I agree. I felt really sorry for him during that. It was (in my humble opinion) a really lame song (albeit for a very good cause). It felt too much like an American Idol moment. At least they didn't make him dance. oh gawd those american idol group numbers *gag* I only watched season 4 of AI and I really did think Bo was a good southern rocker and I dig that style and think he's cool but man did they make him do some stupid stuff on that show!!!!!!!! Constantine was even worse!!!!!!!! But still I respect Bo and will buy his CD.

For those of you who liked YRGM performance least...have you heard the full version of him doing this song on the Live at the Mayan album...it might change your mind...it did mine.
He gets all breathy and whispery & sexy & it sounds awesome. They totally did not edit that show well at all. Several of the performances that weren't all that great actually sound awesome when you hear the entire thing.

That and JORDIS singing MWSTW are the 2 best songs on that CD. Cheers, Helen

Boy - just when I was completely sure I didn't want to buy that CD you give me a reason to need to. I'm going to go broke if Marty keeps this up lol. I'm also going to buy the Rockstar DVD and I'm sure once they get our money for the short version they'll make a full length one for a whopping big price (& we'll all be hopping up and down in glee if they do!)

I CAN'T IMAGINE NOT LIKING A MARTY PERFORMANCE, SO I'LL HAVE TO GO ALONG WITH THE "US" PERFORMANCE... IT WAS THEN THAT I REALIZED THAT I DEFINITELY DIDN'T WANT TO SEE MARTY WIN THE COMPETITION AND FRONT THEIR BAND

Yes I agree, when I saw the rockers perform US and how small a part Marty had in it, I reckoned at the time, INXS had already chosen JD to win.......

My personal opinion I can't say there was a performance that I didn't like. Come on the guy is hot and very talented. I started this thread because I think if people were to put his performances in order of fave to least fave, everyone would have a different order. He didn't have any song that was worse than the other songs and it's completely a matter of opinion which song is better than the others. Also, I think non-fans might think 'I Alone' was the worst since it was the one that put him in the bottom 3 and that's very far from the truth. There are a lot of people who think that was his best song. I should have asked people to rank all the songs. Then I could have got my answer in a much sneakier way lol.

In that case I would have to say my least favorite performance had to be the performance of 'US' that was done as a group with INXS. The reason being because he did not have enough camera time! Sharon

My least favorite is "With Arms Wide Open". He sang it very well but I freaking HATE that song. So while Marty made me *not hate it*, I still didn't like it.
Oh yeah, and I'm a newbie.

I didn't like his first performance, whatever song that was. It was either What I Like About You or You Really Got Me. He had me hooked after doing Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand though. I think that was the second performance IIRC.

I agree about "Us" ... he looked totally uncomfortable during the entire performance. I also thought that his "Don't Change" with INXS couldn't compare to the one with the House Band. Their musical (and visual) styles just don't mesh ... Marty had to hold himself back during the entire thing.
As far as the other solo performances are concerned, he looked like he was shot out of a cannon for "You Really Got Me" ... it's the only performance of his where I like the original better.
Aside from that, perfection.
