Thanks ChK! I am sure you are right, there are probably no pictures yet, I think that there is even one more audition left for the contestants before the TV show starts. I am just getting so excited for the next Season of Rockstar. I heard that one guy from my small country; Iceland will be participating if he will make it through the final auditon. I can hardly wait

On the RS: Supernova site (link above), it said that the website would fully launch on July 3. So I expect there will be lots of pics and info then.

I got this from a group I'm in:
Steve Rogers of RealityTVWorld.com is reporting that CBS has revealed the identities of the fifteen singers who will compete in "Rock Star: Supernova", this summer's new edition of the Mark Burnett-created "Rock Star: INXS" reality talent competition that the network aired last summer.
Scheduled to premiere Wednesday, July 5 at 8PM ET/PT with a special 90-minute episode, "Rock Star: Supernova" will look for a lead singer for SUPERNOVA, a newly-formed band comprised of MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer (and former NBC reality show star) Tommy Lee, former METALLICA bassist Jason Newsted, and former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Gilby Clarke. First season co-hosts Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke will both return for "Rock Star"'s second edition.
The fifteen performers competing on "Rock Star: Supernova" are:
* Zayra Alvarez, a singer from Dallas, TX * Dana Andrews, a singer from Augusta, GA * Magni Asgeirsson, a singer from Reykjavik, Iceland * Jenny Galt, a singer from Vancouver, BC * Jill Gioia, a singer from New York, NY * Matt Hoffer, a singer from Chicago, IL * Storm Large, a singer from Portland, OR * Josh Logan, a singer from Manchester, NH * Chris Pierson, a singer from Atlanta, GA * Patrice Pike, a singer from Austin, TX * Toby Rand, a singer from Melbourne, Australia * Phil Ritchie, a singer from Ocean City, MD * Dilana Robichaux, a singer from Houston, TX * Lukas Rossi, a singer from Toronto, ON * Ryan Star (not former "American Idol" finalist Ryan Starr), a singer from New York, NY
For more information on all the contestants, visit RockStar.MSN.com.

I can hardly wait yep - the guy from Iceland made it. His Icelandic music is really good. The English stuff isn't as good. Magni Asgeirsson: www.amotisol.isRoll your mouse over the word tondaemi. All the options in that dropdown menu are music clips. The option on the bottom has a couple clips in English, which (unfortunately) are not as good as those in Icelandic.

OK...well I just got home from the taping of the premier episode of the new "Rockstar"...sooo sooo much fun. Dave Navarro looked as hot as ever and the new "Supernova" group looked amazing too. everyone was very energized...and Dave said the crowd was looking HOT!!! (duh dave...ha ha ha) I went with 4Reeds and CJspas. The new group seemed much "edgier" than last year...but maybe that is because the genre is a little heavier than INXS...anyway..there were definately a few that stood out...and a couple that you knew that wouldn't be there long unless they really stepped it up. There was one cute boy who we deemed "baby marty-dino" who was cute and had something about him...and I was excited to see him get on stage but then his performance was definately lacking...(I think he may be in the bottom 3) then there was a chick names Dilana...this chick is one to watch, she blew the roof off the place...Tommy Lee couldn't even speak and Dave had many things to say that I expect will be edited out....ha ha ha. Then there was "Lukas" he is another of my favorites...his on-stage persona is amazing and definately shook the crowd up...and he was last to perform (we had been standing and screaming and clapping and "raising the roof" for 6 hours) so for him to make us jump was an amaxing feat. He was sort of hip hopish in the way he carried himself, but very confident and his on stage persona was great. I can't wait to see him again. a few other favorites were "storm, patrice, josh, toby and ryan" from what I can remember. I really think this season is going to be amazing. I can't wait to watch...I hope I am not on camera... just a side not...when wse heard someone would be singing "Lithium" we were saying.."uh oh...that is scary...because those are some big shoes to fill (after seeing marty's kick ass" performance) of the same song we didn't think it was a good idea for someone else to do it. But it was Dilana who sang it...and I think even Marty would agree that she was AWESOME...I can't wait for all of you to see it. WOW. (she was definately the favorite of the night)...after the show I walked over to the rockers and gave some props to Lukas and a little "keep it up" wish to Chris (aka. baby Marty-Dino) since I liked him but he really got it bad from the group...but I liked him and hope if he ends up in the bottom 3 that he really brings it, cuz I would like him to stay. anyway. It is a great group and it was a really good time....I hope yo all enjoy the show on Wednesday.
rock on...........

Just to add to what K87 said. It was a great show. It will be really interesting to see what it looks like on air. Live performances and what shows up on the small screen can be very different.
Counting "in line" time we were standing for 6 hours! I think taping was about 3!
I think my fav was Dilana--a power house--who as K said put her own spin on Lithium that was stunning.
Lukas closed the show with a bang with Rebel Yell very intense--owned the stage but also a little disturbing to watch-not necessarily in a bad way--just well watch for yourselves on Wednesday and let me know what you think.
I can't wait to watch the show because I'm getting people mixed up so I hate to mis-identify people. There were a couple of people I thought automatically not right for the band--this is a much different band than INXS and the performers are different too. Heck it's only week one. I really wanted to see them all again to see if a different song choice changed my opinion and see what they could do with that.
One of the contestants--Josh Logan was from New Hampshire and we were standing next to a bunch of his buddies who had come out from NH to support him. They were great and very supportive of the other performers.
On the other hand, there were people around me that stood and barely moved or cheered the entire show. They kept asking them to put their hands up and get enthusiastic but they never did--Hello,you are coming to a rock show--they let you in to be as the warm-up guy kept telling us--Rock Enhancers. It was our job to cheer and dance and applaud. (Remind me tomorrow of this when my neck or shoulders are sore from hands in the air for 3 hours!)
Can't wait for you all to see the show.
I'm off to bed. If I think of anything else I'll post tomorrow.

Does anyone know when Marty and/or LH will be on yet? I'm curious to know the date too. lasnow and I created a flyer to street team this, just waiting for confirmation , and a date would be good info too!! That's the other thing I forgot to mention. It was very interesting to talk to the other audience members and ask if they went or watched last year--find out who their favorite was and then mention we were Marty fans. The people I talked to were always--I liked Marty--what is he doing? So it gave us time to ST. There was one girl standing next to me that was a total Marty girl but not very web proficient. I was telling her about MC.org when K87 whipped off her MC.org bracelet and gave it to her. The girl's reaction was like K had given her a diamond. There are opportunities for spreading the word at these tapings. People said--oh I didn't know the album was out or at least were very curious about what Marty was up to. Also just to add to the report--MIG and his wife passed by before the taping back to the VIP section of the audience. He didn't take part in the taping--only there as an audience member that I could see.
