I'm new to this board and glad I have finally found a thread that is positive about INXS. I love both INXS and Love Hammers and I know I'm not the oly one. I tried to read some concert reviews but it seems most of the members feel like they can't like INXS and be a true Hammerhead. That just seems so silly to me. I was glad JD won RockStar:INXS and I was glad Marty & the Love Hammers got signed to Epic and toured with them. Everyone's a winner and I got to buy two great CDs and got to see two great bands in concert several times. Hey inexces ~ Welcome to the board. I love INXS for bringing MC into my life, I can say that much! I was not a huge INXS fan growing up in the 80's (I'm 35), but watched Rockstar to see the talent there. I actually like INXS more now - I like a couple of their new songs quite a bit (Afterglow and Never Let You Go). But yeah, I know what you're gettin at about people's feelings towards INXS.  Anyway, welcome again. |

Hey inexces.... you are right- you are not alone. INXS has many fans here, whether for their music or for bringing MC to the world's attention. Gotta admit I was an INXS fan from their first record (it was actually on vinyl!!!!!) and saw them on their first tour of US. And, I flew from HK to US thinking I would see both LH and INXS, (hurrah!)
But also must admit, I ended up seeing LH 3x in Chicago and only watching INXS for about 3 songs. It just wasn't the same without you-know-who. Not sure even MC coulda changed my mind.
Anyway, WELCOME TO THE BOARD! --- hope you'll post lots!

I agree with Val on this. I have never really been a fan of INXS. A few of thier songs appeal to me but not so much that I would call myself a fan. So, it is not that I don't feel like I can't be a fan of both LH and INXS, it is just that I am not a fan of INXS. Yeah, I found LH through INXS and I am thankful of that but the only reason I ever watched Rockstar was because my friend forced fed the show to me by making me watch the videos on the Rockstar website until I broke down and watched it on my own at which point I immediately fell for Marty.
