Here's my two cents ... the heat is getting to me, so I'm a bit crabby today. Okay, really crabby. Call out the Snark Police. Like I said, I'm crabby today. ;D ;D ;D Great review - so that leaves us with ....? Actually you were spot on with this take, wendyc122. The only ones that really "appear" to be SN material: Lukas, Dilana, Storm - maybe Toby. Jill has the pipes, but will be looking for the EXIT sign soon. People don't like to hear nonstop ... sorry. No one singer is bringing anything close to the depth that our man Marty did last season. Eh, but then again, we all knew that...

Now crabby AND sleepy ...
First, I was glad Ryan got the encore. He may be a Jerk (although he was less Jerky than last night) but the REM song was really interesting and well-done. Or was that my dinner. Anyway, the guy has talent.
Anyway, "buh-bye" to Dana Trying to be a Tough Chick so She Got a Tattoo. Really bad song choice for her. I guess I was right about the Southern Comfort. And she missed her rehearsal time because she went to a SPA? She left the house for a massage? Is the poor widdle giwl stwessed out awweddy? Well, it doesn't matter now.
Patrice Mr. DeMille, I'm Ready for my Closeup barely squeaked by, and I mean that literally. And it's time for the girl to discover make-up. Sneering into the camera with that naked face makes her look like a housewife who needs her Mother's Little Helpers. Hey, maybe she should sing that song the next time she's in the B3, which might be pretty soon. In which case, the naked face might work if she turns it into a theater piece, complete with vacuum cleaner and a housedress. Zayra'd better watch out.
Now that Jill Princess Ooooh, I found Suzie's Stash of Hair Extensions showed that she can actually sing a note below a high C, she may last another week or two ... assuming that she's trainable and stops talking long enough to listen to the critiques. Deanna from last year never really understood one word they told her about how she could improve. Let's see if Jill figures it out.
On a serious note, Brook's clothes and jewelry are a radical improvement over last year, now that they retired Ellie Mae out to pasture. No more potholder necklaces! Or sleeves shaped like squashes! (There's a song there, perhaps the anti-"My Favorite Things"?)

OMG! Dana got voted off instead of Jill or Patrice... that is just lame. I would have loved it if Patrice went home... grrr. Oh well, she'll be going home next week haha

How on Gods green earth did Zayra buy her way out of the bottom 3??? If that performance rated well what the heck is she gonna pull next week? Maybe they can wire her up and let her fly around the room in her Supergirl costume. Jill did a nice job but her days are numbered. Patrice, whatever Mom. I'll miss Dana she was soooo perky! Oh my God she got a treble clef tattoo! That's so ROCK That reminds me, one time at band camp.... And Lukas slured his way through the lyrics because he forgot them, sings to the drummer and is safe? I guess people really like him. I don't get it.

It was sad to see Dana go.....but she just wasnt roit. She's a champ though - she is very mature and took the constructive criticism much better than someone older might.
I wish Jill & Zayara would've gotten the boot before Dana.

Based on the bottom three performances last night, I thought Patrice should have gone home. Actually even without the bottom three last night I still thought Patrice should have gone home.
Dana was never right for the band but I enjoyed watching her improve and learn. You can tell the band did have a sweet spot for her.

I can't believe Dana went home before Zayra.
This proves my theory that Zayra's father is a Columbian Drug Lord who is paying people to vote for his darling daughter.
My hubby was bummed to see Dana go... I know he loved how strong her voice was and I think he secretly had the hots for her. (Freaky eyes and all - hee hee)
This messes up my plans to ship him off to see Dana perform so I can follow Marty around some more - darn!

wendy and beachgirl your reviews totally crack me up! I will log on diligently just to hear what you two have to say! ;D I agree with the Zayra "what the happened" sentiments. I thought she should go every week since week 1 ! Yikes.

I haven't said anything about the last performance show yet (actually, I don't think I've said anything about any of them yet). Well, after the last one, I have to say something. Every episode, I hope Dilana wins the whole thing. I still think she should win it all so far. Having said that, one of my fave performances was Patrice doing My Iron Lung......... OK, the surprise, and I have to say this because I have wateched it like, 50 times now... and I don't think I'm even exaggerating. One of my favorite performances of the whole show so far (maybe my absolute favorite, even above any Dilana performance) was freakin JOSH!?!?!?! doing Santeria!!! I haven't liked Josh at all this whole show... never remembered him... but after he performed one of my absolute favorite songs of all time PERFECTLY, I've decided that Sublime should get back together with JOSH as their lead singer. DUDE!!! He was freakin AWESOME!!!! I didn't even freakin like him before, and as soon as he opened his mouth on that song, I was like... "How the hell is that voice coming out of his face?!?!?!" I had to go back and watch his other performances... still don't like any of them... but I would be happy to have him stay on the show a little longer if he's going to keep singing the way he sang Santeria... even though I don't want him to win. I LOVE HIM NOW!!!! OK... so please don't be toooo mean to him, it makes me feel bad

Kristin - you are too funny! ;D Josh's performance was extremely entertaining. You have to admit, though, that he is not roit for Supernova.

I was really disappointed to see Dana go... and I reeeeealy hated her whole look and style week one. Every week she made a transformation, and took to heart the comments of the band and Dave.... and it was fun to watch her changing. It was like pulling teeth to get the others to switch up their performances, and get some ooomp on stage..... unlike our dear Marty who INXS had to ask to please tone it down!! There's only one Marty!!

Yeah, even my kids were like, "Wow, a treble clef, what a rebel..." I think it might have been drawn on. Personally, I knew she was gone when Jason called her "Sweetie"...
