Okay, you may have heard Brooke Burke announce the "bring back a rocker" campaign. Apparently, it is only for verizon wireless customers, which I am not. I'd like to make a push for verizon wireless customers to text the word "crave" to 8917 and vote to bring back Matt Hoffer. I don't think we were able to see enough of Matt and as you know, he is a good friend of the Lovehammers and performed with the guys at the Park West show in Chicago. Let's get our friend Matt some more exposure from RS:SN!!  |

Great idea, Chi  . For a contestant with such strong vocals getting kick off in the first round, he deserves to show the world he is very talented. Now, I'll start checking with friends who may have Verizon. |

Like Jodie, my first thought was that we needed to campaign to bring back Marty for a performance. If it really is only RS:SN contestants than I am ALL for throwing some love Matt's way.
Did you guys know that on Matt's Myspace Duran Duran are among his friends? The band even used his performace of Planet Earth for something. A lot of Duranies support him --there are a few on this board, so maybe they can help move this along?!?
I don't know about how to vote for this, my understanding is that it's just Verizon -- in that case, all youze guys with the vote need to help us out!

So does it only work for Verizon? I have Cingular. That would be so funny if they got a lot of votes for Marty. I think Matt really does deserve another shot.

I still can't find any more info. about it. It sounded like it was only Verizon.
I liked a lot of the contestants, Phil and Ryan included, but I believe that both of those guys were able to get really good exposure from the show. I just feel that Matt got slighted and since he's a friend of the Lovehammers, I thought maybe people would want to help him out.
Obviously, if I thought they would bring Marty back, I would be leading that charge.

Hey Gals, I read on another board that there is a Bring Back Zayra Campaign. Unless you want to see that again  We need to get going and vote for Matt Hoffer. I think we should throw out some votes for Marty too. You never know what could happen. |

I actually got a message over myspace from Ryan explaining this a little more.  I wonder if he saw my bulletin about Matt.......Anyway, I guess you text the word "crave" to 8917 and then they text you back and ask you which rocker. Then you text AGAIN with the name of the rocker you are voting for. |

it only worked for me with Verizon...and this is what it says:
Please reply w/ the rocker you want 2bring back 4 an encore. CHRIS, DANA, JENNY, JILL, JOSH, MATT, PATRICE , PHIL, RYAN, ZAYRA.
For fun, I still sent a 'MARTY!' along with a couple others for Matt & Phil...
modified to add...here's what I got with the Marty Casey vote:
Sorry we were not able to understand your message. Please check the speeling (yes Penny, it says speeling) and try again.
sigh...
Phil & Matt it is!
You get a txt back that says watch Sept 12th to see who wins the Fan Favorite Encore! (so it's not someone that's re-entering the contest)...
If you don't have verizon, go to a verizon store & have them do it, or try to do it from their website. Some carriers let you do that. (I didn't try)
