This was a nice Lukas quote from star-ecentral... Even on the show, Lukas always seemed confident of his ability, attested by his laid-back approach during the song selection process. He said then that a person should be able to do whatever song was thrown at them and in true Lukas fashion, he always stuck to his guns.
“There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance, and I never crossed that. You have to be confident as an artiste or else this business will eat you up. I knew from day one what I am as an artiste and performer and I’ll never veer from that. Things can be hard but you gotta take it easy,” revealed the new frontman.

I found this article about Lukas at RollingStone.com -
48 Hours With "Rock Star: Supernova" Winner Lukas Rossi With the season over, the former Hooters line-cook eases into the unreality of rock stardom Shirley Halperin
He may be a reality TV star, but twelve hours after the Rock Star: Supernova finale, reality had yet to set in for winner Lukas Rossi. "It's mind-blowing," he told us in a hangover haze while sitting poolside at new bandmate Tommy Lee's house, where he's crashing. "I'm just surprised anyone cares about a little punk from Toronto."
So are we! But like the hundreds of thousands who tuned in to see Tommy, Gilby Clark and Jason Newsted critique a glorified karaoke contest of freaks and geeks, we too were secretly captivated by the show and its two front-runners: the deep-voiced and dreadlocked South African Dilana Robichaux, and the emotive Lukas, who impressed both the judges and viewers with his intense delivery covering songs like Radiohead's "Creep" and the Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony." Sure, he must have ravaged the local Sephora for eye shadow and glittery lipstick on a weekly basis, and maybe the whole sunglasses-at-night thing is a bit played out, but the act paid off for the twenty-nine-year-old high school drop-out. And Tommy, for one, called it early on. "As soon as I first saw him, I thought, 'That's our man.' It wasn't necessarily about finding the best singer or the right look, it was about finding the guy -- or girl -- that could front this band . . . and Lukas is that person."
Judging by his behavior at the show's wrap party later that night, it seems Lukas has taken to his new rock star role quite naturally. Flanked on all sides by L.A.'s dimmest and drunkest, Lukas handled the ladies like he'd been negotiating groupie advances forever. To say that he liked the attention would be a major understatement. Even growing up, Lukas tells us, he didn't have pictures of his favorite bands the Cult or Smashing Pumpkins on his bedroom wall. "I wanted to be the one on the poster!"
And now that he may have that chance, this former line-cook at Hooters isn't wasting any time. He'll soon head into an L.A. studio to lay down vocals to almost a dozen already-written songs and one or two of his originals. And after that, the Supernova tour, which kicks off in December and features Dave Navarro's Panic Channel and the ridiculously rockin' Rock Star house band (fronted by the season's four runner-up contestants) as openers.
No doubt, it's a dream come true, but fame has its price and even on this first celebratory evening, Lukas paid it when he was accused by TMZ.com of leaving his girlfriend stranded outside of the Geisha House doors. Not cool, right? So being the stealth journos that we are, we tracked Lukas down the next night in the smoking section of the Henry Fonda Theatre where he, Dilana and finalists Tony Rand and Magni Asgeirsson came to see Supernova producer Butch Walker play with his band, the Let's-Go-Out-Tonites. Lukas's response to the item? "No comment." Tommy Lee has taught him well, indeed.

The band is now in the studio recording an album set for release Nov. 21 on Epic, and will first showcase their live chops with sellouts Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 at the Joint in Las Vegas. A full-blown arena/theater tour follows, starting Jan. 16 at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fla., and includes some 30 dates. Supporting will be the Panic Channel and other contestants from the show backed by the House Band. International dates, including Australia, are likely.
This is great news!!! Thanks Cindy

I am not sure where to post this sad news but it looks like Storm, Magni and the house band have been kicked off the Supernova Tour, and Toby's, Dilana are still on with Toby's band Juke Kartel fronting. I will post this in all appropriate threads: www.tmz.com/2006/10/11/more-problems-for-rockstar-supernova/More Problems for Rockstar Supernova Posted Oct 11th 2006 5:45PM by TMZ Staff Magni and Storm Large, two finalists in the top 5 on the CBS reality show "Rockstar: Supernova," have been essentially fired from the opening act on the upcoming Rockstar Supernova tour. This is just the latest controversy to besiege Tommy Lee's new band, Rockstar Supernova, since the reality show wrapped production last month. First a California punk band claimed rights to the name Supernova and sought an injunction to halt the television act from performing or recording under the "Supernova" brand, unless they changed or added words to the name. A San Diego judge ruled in favor of the punk band and forced the CBS backed group to find a new moniker. For once Davey trumped Goliath! Tommy Lee and the rest of the band, including the show's winner Lukas Rossi, changed the name to Rockstar Supernova. With a tour scheduled to begin on New Year's Eve in Vegas, the bill's opening act was to include The Panic Channel, host Dave Navarro's latest band, as well as, fellow contestants Toby Rand, Dilana, Magni, Storm Large and the program's House Band. But now TMZ has learned that due to financial reasons Magni, Storm Large and the House Band have been kicked off the tour. Toby and Dilana are still on board (thank God!), but will now be backed by Toby Rand's Australian group Juke Kartel. Evs! Though this is sure to be a blow to Storm Large and Magni, who is already a bona fide sensation in his native Iceland, the real question is how fans will react to the news. And while Magni and Storm will be sorely missed, we're still hoping they add the ever unpredictable and fabulous Zayra Alvarez to the bill. A call to Rockstar Supernova's record label was not immediately ret

Diva That site is NOT Lukas's official myspace page as he doesn't have one He doesn't do myspace.com or web posting in general. Or so it was reported to several fans who spoke to him about this a few weeks ago. You can read all about this rockband.com/forum/topic.asp?topic_id=4406 The guy that does this page says it is a fansite. But is is a good fan page, so I have it in my friends list. P.S. Yahoo Music has new killer photos from the recent shoot for "It's All Love" in Their Saturn Who's Next series video performance music.yahoo.com/ar-35857415-photos--Rock-Star-SupernovaWhy does the one of Lukas putting on his eyeliner fascinate me soooo much?

The Saturn Who's Next Music videos exclusive for Yahoo! Music are now up along with a band interview. music.yahoo.com/ar-35857415---Rock-Star-Supernova (you have to be logged in as a Yahoo! music member to see the videos...but well worth it! Listening to the interview you discover that both Tommy Lee and Lukas have colds....they are sniffling their way through it. But they still sound good on the songs... hmmmmm, wonder if those two weren't secretly at Hammerjam and got the contagion that so many took home from the trip???
