The fact that Marty has been asked to be the only opening act for Jessica Simpson is such a strong indication that he could've signed with her recording company Sony Music. INXS has their new worldwide recording contract with Sony BMG, and he's opening for them. Plus Marty said he wanted to sign with a company that would take his music worldwide.
Does anybody know for sure?

No word yet. I think LH is still shopping record companies. I'm sure they have a few to choose from.

Marty and The Lovehammers are VERY close to signing with a big name Manager and then they will be confirming their legal representation. Once that is done, then they will consider the Record companies

It sounds like Marty is being very smart about researching management; his business and finance background should come in handy now and he has a lot of common sense. I think he will do a great job setting things up. One of the things that got my respect on the show was the way he is straight and honest with people and expects the same in return. He knows how to be firm in stating his opinions, expectations, and feelings without being offensive.

I 'm also sure that they will get a real good contract attorney to look over that contract. I want to make sure that they have real good representation. I feel very protective of Marty and the Lovehammers !!

From Marty's myspace blog ....
Following negotiations with a record label, Marty said the Lovehammers were set to move to LA, where they want to record and be around people they want to work with. "We're going to be writing [songs and] rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing for the tour," he added.
Among the numbers they're polishing for the big gig is his pop-rock composition, "Trees," which debuted on "Rock Star." Marty said the song also had "to get out there soon" as a single. "We (the Lovehammers) just need to solidify the version we want to release."
Let's hope it is soon. I know Marty loves Chicago but I think the mistake many artists make is to stay true only to the home crowd. I'm thrilled he and lovehammers are thinking globally and willing to make a move to accomplish their goals.
I really miss seeing Marty!!

Not only that they are directly pulling audio files off my server.... so I guess I will have to pay the person maintaining it a little visit and ask nicely to link to the site MartyCasey.org instead of just sucking down my bandwidth. Guess I am going to have to post my "professional courtesy between web designers" statement on the site: "We appreciate all outside links to this Web site. No doesn't have any indication of being his actual page. Everything seems to be in third person....Marty would not write his own blog in third person. Also all the blogs are just run by RSS feeds. It picks up articles much like the google news alerts work and post them there. And the bio is just lifted right off the Rockstar.MSN.com site.
Also it looks like this blog was maintained during July, Aug, and Sept. which is when Marty was sequestered in the Rock Star Mansion and was not allowed access to the internet so he couldn't possibly being doing this.
And the real clincher here is this statement:
Welcome to the promotional site for Marty Casey on MySpace! It's primary purpose is to support Marty and promote his various projects, including those of his band, Lovehammers.
Marty himself would NEVER write that statement. The writing on here doesn't sound anything like the writing that Marty did on his Rockstar Blog.... it has a real personality and depth of thought behind it.
Modified to add a missing "L" to clincher... doh!
Modified again to say.... on further research, let's leave this blog alone. I believe it is run by the Lovehammers in Marty's name. In that case nothing is wrong with it...and it doesn't misrepresent itself as nowhere does it say it is actually Marty's blog... just a blog to support and promote Marty which is actually what this site is all about too....
Sorry to have aggrevated anyone over this.

funny...I actually came across "marty's" myspace a couple of days ago and thought it sounded a little fishy. Thanks for clearing it up for everone and hopefully the diehard Marty fans will know the difference. |
