I keep wondering why the msn site ALLOWS those posts to stay on there. I can only imagine that it is the publicity for the next season kept alive by having a Jerry Springer-like message board. I think it makes msn look bad and am going to email them to tell them. If they want their show to have credibility and respect, they need to get some of that grade school drama off of there. I think ALL of the contestants deserve a better home page for the show.

I agree with all of you totally. It sickened me to see the things that were posted throughout the day over there, and allowed to stand. It's heartbreaking that Marty's family has to see that stuff. And I'm not sure if it really IS "adults" posting those things. If they are, they sure aren't acting like adults. Sad.

I'm sickened by the MSN board. It seems to get worse every day over there. Is there any way we can complain about it to anyone who's in charge over there? It really is sad.
I think we should all start a movement to boy-cott that board and bring all the Marty fans here. That place is a breeding ground for hate.

Yeah there was a subject talking about leaving after the Lovehammers were done performing. I said I would never do that it's just plain rude. I liked JD in the beginning of the show and then he got a little rude and cocky. I have to admit that turned me off. I later then noticed Marty and how amazing he is. I still feel that way but I am an adult and have an open mind. Any new music that is awesome is interesting to me. When JD sang the new song by INXS I liked it. It was really catchy to me. I don't have any kind of chip on my shoulder when it comes to that type of thing. If someone has a chip on there shoulder and shuns any music like that it's so teenagerish.

Everything about RockStar INXS was so positive and supportive among the participants, even when they had disagreements and drama. Perhaps all the fans should just chill and and be supportive too! It's all about the love and the music

It used to be different during the show (even if I only went to the Marty and Jordis Threads, sometimes at Mig's because Team Mig was so funny, almost endearing!)... It was a pretty normal board - I left it after the show was over because I knew it would turn ugly. It started becoming nasty when Marty, J.D. and Mig were the last three left - the exact moment I could place when Marty told Mig that choosing BR was OK and then blahblah.
People are way too immature to understand that "reality" TV is heavily edited and puts together quotes and scenes out of context for added drama and ratings. Like somebody else said, "Reality TV" is really an oxymoron.

When I read some of the things on that board, I feel like I am walking through that nasty, toxic water in New Orleans. I think that negativity breeds negativity for some people who thrive on that, but it also makes me appreciate this board. Thanks for the mods and members for being able to intelligently state opinions without bashing and controlling the tone of the threads. I think life is like a buffet, and can't understand why some people choose to eat the "bad food."

I'm a refugee from the msn boards, not because of fan vitriol (I can click "ignore" if I want) but because the mods were randomly deleting threads. I don't mind discussions that get heated, but having entire threads deleted because a couple people don't know how to play nice got super annoying. Plus, they deleted all the off topic fun threads too.
My gut feeling is that Marty probably did write a little bit of PV. He's said that all along, so I don't see what's so controversial about the radio comment. There are people who disagree, especially over at msn, but just like me, they aren't basing their opinions on fact. The truth is nobody but the parties involved knows who wrote what.

I think all fans should follow the lead of Marty and JD. They are friends. Period.
As far as campainging to have LH kicked off the tour, or walking out of the show after the LH play-- both are equally disrespectful, IMO.
More than anything it shows enormous disrespect to INXS, who is giving Marty and the LH HUGE promotion, a showcase and support. Fans should be gracious and support the INXS decision to hire the LH. And on the other side, fans should respect the choice INXS made in choosing JD.
Anything less than that makes for a fair weathered fan, IMO. Because without INXS, neither the LH, or JD, would be going on world tour in 2006.

It starts to look like INXS and the LH will not go together on tour...They might, at this point, have said that in front of the cameras to show their magnanimous downundah style.
There are so many fake things on TV. I believe that the show was decided from the start, and the guys kinda knew it, but to them it was important to have exposure and being seen by a national public. So if it had been RS:Living Color, it would have been the same. (In this case, Ty would have won)
It's Mark Burnett they have to be thankful for, not INXS.

Where did you hear they might not be going on tour together? I'm so bummed about that--I just made my hotel reservations at the casino in Lincoln City and discovered that one of my friends was not only watching this also, but also rooting for Marty. I hope we know for sure by the 15th when tickets go on sale. I like INXS and want to see them, but I don't think I'd go without the Lovehammers.

Right after the show I heard Marty saying that they would open for INXs in January, but when I listened to the Cara interview he was talking of a Tour with the LH as headliners. I don't see the LH opening for INXS officially announced everywhere. I think there must be either legal complications (like the LH not having representation yet) or a lot of things to settle before a contract or something similar is signed. In the meantime, animosity between fans seems to grow, and...I just don't know if it's going to happen. My impression is that there was something established before the end of the show (the runner-up, whoever it turned out to be, is the opening act of the tour), but I don't think they foresaw Marty becoming America's sweetheart A LH headliner tour will solve the problem of leaving the INXS show, though (not out of disrespect, but of dislike)

I thought when Susan asked him in his interview on 3 Oct about touring with INXS he clearly said they were when the tour starts in January. In his interview with Cara on 4 Oct, it sounded like to me he and LoveHammers would be touring in about 3 weeks and an announcement would be made soon. Wonder if he is doing a short tour Nov/Dec and then going with INXS in January.

Yes, that's the impression I have. I believe the Lovehammers have gotten offers to tour with other band in addition to the INXS thing, and they're looking to do some roadwork before January rolls around.

If it is so, it is a VERY demanding schedule, but hey, you have to beat the iron when it's hot...
But if things are so clear, why there is no official word from the INXS camp?? The dates have been announced but I have never seen the LH on the bill.

Good for them.
It will be a whirlwind from now on. Hopefully it will be what they always wanted since they were teenagers. I wish them the best, hoping that some J.D. hotheads will not cause trouble.
I would have preferred to see them headlining - because of the AI style fandom that indeed will accompany the INXS show - but it does not look like there is time for a big national tour...
